So even if you are just curious and you click on a link you can get in serious trouble? In that case I would have to say that curiosity indeed killed the cat.

No thank you...

I didn't click nothing lol I could just picture my wife's face if the FBI came knocking down the door and me trying to explain how I was on the deep web lol.

Theres no need for this deep web. Just go to your nearset downtown area stand on a street corner and trouble will find you.

I live in Chicago there's plenty of areas you can find trouble in no time, I'll stick to that from now on.

The "If i click on the wrong link..will trouble be at my door" as in police attention... remember your browsing anonymously if your doing it correctly, and no even if your not.

ermm never download anything off the deepweb ...ever!

OK, this is sort of related since it involves the hacker side of the deep web. You know how in the movies they always show hackers using weird looking software and methods to hack into secret stores of information? Is there any truth to that? Is hacker software anything like what they show in the movies or is that all just made up?

What does Tor even look like? Is it a browser?

Nahh its all made up mate, there is no magic " hack" or "shutdown" software. If someone was to make a piece of software that exploited some security flaw in something or other and released it on the deep web for anyone to use it would very quickly get the attention of the developer and be fixed.

Also Tor just looks like your bog standard browser.

This would've been an easy way to make $200.000 in the last month by investing $20.000 in bitcoins. In the last year the BC value raised slow but steady, in the last month since the media started covering it it jumped from $20 to $140. I'm curious to see how much the prices will drop when all the speculators panic when another wallet is hacked. Reminds me of those guys making over $12 million a year by owning virtual land in the Second Life video game.

The bitcoin bubble is bursting. It's value has dropped over 75% in the last two days.

The Vinklevoss twins are taking a beating.

Burst KBH, the exchange was closed for some 30 hours yesterday as trading in BC was suspended. The problem is BC was not designed as a currency to be hoarded, it's a medium of exchange. The correct usage is when you wish to buy you change $ (or whatever) into BC, make the purchase and then the seller cashes in.

Speculators have been treating it as a currency which is causing the hyper deflation we saw these past months and the hyper inflation now going on. It's been up and down all day as speculators try to claw back something they never had. You can watch live at Clark Moody: http://bitcoin.clarkmoody.com/ as the rate yoyos on the Mt.Gox exchange.

So funny reading members angry posts concerning how bad it is to buy illegal drugs or whatever on the deep web. Isn't this a forum dedicated to those who buy Rep watches?

^ I don't think anyone is angry, do you? Why would anyone be angry? I could care less what people do recreationally. I do find it stupid to buy illegal drugs online, however. There's a difference between stupid and angry. You can't fix stupid...

Is it illegal for me to buy a rep in the States? Nope. So I have no problems with my hobby.

Way to lose what last week was several grand mate.

Logins: As I have said before, use Last Pass for login info and back up everything else!

Your BC Wallet: Should be stored on a USB key in a safe, you don't leave cash lying around do you?

TB - I think the bitcoin value I have is really small.

I was mining them, but it takes forever to mine the bloody things and I got bored

I tried it for the first time today, there were some interesting articles that I enjoyed reading. Then...I clicked on one of picture boards and lost all hope in humanity.

It's an interesting place but you quickly learn to tread lightly as you're only a click away from stuff that makes 4Chan look like Disneyland.
