Dont know what the deep web is? Basically it is the dark side of the web which is 400-500 times bigger than the "surface web" which can only be accessed anonymously using a special browser.

ALSO CONTAINS GOOD INVALUABLE INFORMATION.. ITS NOT ALL BAD NEWS lol

He has been approached by "people"

Ok guys, understand the Dark Web is not a kid's playground, it can be a very dangerous place. There is a lot of good information there but there is also danger, horror and stuff that cannot be unseen.

I suggest you don't play unless you know what you are doing and have a good grasp of security.

" The reason the "Deep Web" is the way it is is because only about 10 percent of what's on the internet is generally/commercially interesting. Sure you could dig deep into the annals of the information superhighway but most if it is raw information. It's not packaged and easily digestible like stumbleupon or tumblr. They are websites that purposely don't get pinged to search engines so they are harder to find.

To sum it up, it's basically a private section of server space to share data off record. All that wiki leaks stuffed that leaked a couple months back? That's been on deep web for years. Ever seen a movie and see the bad guy or hacker loggin' into some weird looking private server? that's all real. Generally, terrorist networks, spy agencies, drug dealers, assassins-for-hire, and those looking for child porn lurk around those parts. There's a Hidden Wiki, there, and on the wiki they're categories of links. There are things like blogs, forums (from normal to revolutionary to blatantly illegal), Tor-enabled instant messaging and chat, anonymous file hosting, anonymous financing, anonymous tipping and information exchanges, information on computer security/anonymity, info on warez/cracks/hacking, all the books, music, movies you can possibly imagine, even links to sports betting and trade information, links to international drug markets, prostitution rings, assassin markets, black market products, child pornography, Some of societies most deviant people use this network. Not just those that browse the sites on there but also those who create it and manage them..and it's almost impossible to find either of the offenders.

And even a small fraction of that is illegal stuff.. its not like some hardcore underground network of spies, killers, pedos and criminals. The rest % is used by their respected authorities."

In my younger years, when I was a wanna-be-hacker I was spending a lot of time over there, mostly for warez and hacking related stuff, but the weird shit I've seen still hunts me to these days. Some extremely violent stuff I wish I've never seen, child pornography and human torture as real as it gets, extreme gore that makes the stuff you find on surface web look like child's play.

Wow!! I just spent hours reading the links that were posted, and it sounds like to me a VERY SCARY part of the internet.

As far as I know.. and From my experience.. There is no level 4-8 Deep web. If you're using TOR and have Proxies setup you can access just about any of that stuff. Granted, a lot of that is bullshit too.. I have tirelessly searched for some of the stuff beneath 'Closed Shell System Required' and there are some tidbits here and there on stuff like the law of 13's, paradigms and SOME experimentation data. You don't need a Closed Shell System to access anything on the deep web.

The deep web is the deep web. The data that is too sensitive for average people to view is kept on government machines NOT CONNECTED to the internet.

You are extremely vulnerable when using TOR and it is in your best interest to protect yourself and do not click on anything you're not sure about. You're essentially a lamb out to slaughter for all the seasons blackhats that reside on the deep web.

YOU WILL see things you wish you hadn't seen.

It takes some serious diligence to avoid it.

Be careful and don't be surprised when you walk away thinking "I wish I wouldn't have done that"
