Getting To Know The Place
He's not very good at this shit is he? Tho I suppose Sotheby's just forgot to mention such an important value adding item that provides backstory and adds provenience in their description huh? How forgetful of them . . .
I'm not, I can't find him the Bar Assn members list for his country either.
Oh and Eirik, Mint is mint, telling me that the man from Sotheby's "says mint(A+) they obviously mean for this particular watch ref. compared to the other 179. " is laughable as any collector will tell you. What a fucking crazy thing to say, here is their definition of Mint: Mint condition is an expression used to denote the quality of a pre-owned goods as displaying no imperfections and being in pristine condition relative to its original production state. The goods are in the condition they were in when they left the factory and preferably should not have been handled without gloves to prevent skin oils and acids marring the finish. There is no way they would describe a watch that been on active service as mint. Try to understand what you are bullshitting about before doing so.
Oh and BTW, I have asked around, no one in the Rolex collectors upper circles seems to know of you. Oh yes, you make a mistake if you think that because this is a rep forum no one here knows people in high places or is in fact are people in high places themselves; there are people here who can (and do) drop 50k on a piece without a second thought. There are people here who spend that filling up their yacht for a Sunday jaunt (not joking, srsly). You underestimate who you're dealing with and that was a mistake. Now, clear off.
Amen!!!! 100 True!!!
