blowjobs? ;)
Look, i just wrote that "taking offers part" without even thinking about it. I wrote the post quickly, as you can probably tell, from all the typos. If you mind it, just delete that part. I really don't mind. Or if you tell me to delete it, I will. Couldn't care less.

I believe what Raddave is saying is we do not allow anything that can be construed as advertising outside the sales area.

I am aware I have a PM from you on another matter, bear with me as I have not had a chance to respond to it yet.

I bought one of the last remaining 5517 genuine MilSubs at a Sotheby auction back in 2008 for a sum slightly over 50,000.00 US$. It originally belonged to a special forces badass and is in mint condition. The Sotheby experts appraised it to Mint(A+) condition with a value of 50-100,000£. I have posted pictures of it and they have since gone viral on the internet. It came with a journal kept by the original owner where he describes sharp missions he took part in. My watch actually saw war/real action and the owner has confirmed kills wearing it. He also says the watch saved his life more than once. Of the approximately 1,200 or so MilSubs, only around 180 are still in circulation. That is 180 over all three examples from the 70s. With Special Forces soldiers not famous for taking it easy on their kit, most of the watches have been either lost or destroyed. The day I got this at that price at auction - basically a steal; i could flip i today for 100,000$ easily. Some appraisers say I could get as much as 150-200k for it - was one of the happiest in my life.

However, my holy grail, it is the Daytona 6239, 6241, 6262 (6263, 6264 and 6265 would also suffice). This means I have to sell my MilSub first because my genuine collection consisting of 6 Rolex', Patek Philippe Aquanaut 2019, Audemars Piguet, Omegas, Breitlings and many others +++ (to much to list here in a short comment), and it is not financially viable for me to have both the MilSub and a vintage 6XXX Daytona without selling other pieces from my collection. And I do not wish to do so.

So I am getting rid of one of the last remaining mint condition(A+ graded) MilSubs in the world with a nato strap. It went through a complete overhaul in 2008 before I purchased it at auction at Sothebyes and I have all the paperwork + RSC card for it including this very special journal from the original owner who used it as a sturdy tool part of his kit. It has an amazing history and we all know the Rolex Submariner/MilSub heritage/lineage. It is truly beautiful. A holy grail for many.

I can totally understand why so many of you want replicas of it. I have a replica too which is heavily frankened because then I get to wear it more frequently without a "timebomb" movement that might stop at any moment. The real one is worn only a few times in a year at most and only at very special occasions when I know it is safe and I have security around me.

This is no sales ad, but if anyone is interested in this i am taking offers and can provide much more details if you contact me in a private message. Like i said above: selling it because i want to replace it with a Daytona vintage from the 1960s; with a real panda dial with all black subdials. Not like the new 116500 with a mix of black and white subdials which i do own already. It's nice but it's not a vintage holy grail. I drive superbike; 1000cc. The Isle of Man TT and Norwegian SBK championship. The Daytona Paul Newman/panda has been my holy grail and childhood dream for as long as I can remember!

Crazy coincidence. I was on the moon last week (was running low on cheese) and I actually met the Special Forces soldier that used to own this watch. He's now breeding rocking horses, says he sells their turds for over $1000 a pound.

LOL, "Mint (A+)" condition but its been on the wrist of an SAS dude on active service? This fuckstick wasn't even a good liar was he tripdog ?
TBH I can't even be bothered checking if such a sale even happened because if it did this cockwomble didn't buy it and no one has EVER scored a significant watch from those pirates at 10s of 1000s of pounds under the estimate. they are well known for low estimates not high ones.

Did you miss the part were he said it was fully overhauled in 2008 and that he has all the paperwork and the Rolex service card for it? I imagine all of that would come with the watch when you buy it at a respected auction house like Sothebys? Why are you guys talking trash about sometingi you have no facts about? What a bunch of losers. Just because you cant afford real gen Rolex or even exclusive vintage pieces and have to wear replicas to impress people and pretend they are real, not everyone is a loser like you ...

He goes on to say there are only 180 left of these in the world. And they were all worn by military forces and worn and torn as a tool. So when Sotheby-auctions says mint(A+) they obviously mean for this particular watch ref. compared to the other 179. One that only soldies wore... It's compared to other worn vintages, not a brand new watch from Rolex. And that's why it's mint(A+) even though it probably has markings and wear and tear. You can't compare the vintage most rare and sought after watches in the world to a 2020 model.

A full overhaul on a watch that probably looked like shit with markings, corrosion, rust, dust ... a full restoration job. It was probably done before sold at Sothebys. But you losers wouldn't know jack shit about buying vintage pieces for over 20,000€ because you are fake posers that only wear replicas to try to convince people they are real.

Me on the other hand, I buy replicas to wear them instead of my genuine pieces that i own to not damage the resale value or lose it/have it stolen or have something else happen to it. You guys wear them to impress other people without owning the actual real piece aswell. Only losers do that. Buy homages instead if you can't afford the real deal. Not everyone is a poor mod on a replica forum eating cheese out of their mums refrigerator. Some ppl in this world are successfull and to them 50-100.000$ is not that much money.

I checked Sotheby's auction records for 2008. They sold a couple of 5513s and only one 5517, which sold for just under £71,000 - there was no mention in the description of any 'journal' or any such thing.
I'm shocked and disappointed to find that Mr Lawyer was lying.
I suppose there's still hope that he'll find a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, then that'll be something he'll be able to talk about with pride.

He's not very good at this shit is he? Tho I suppose Sotheby's just forgot to mention such an important value adding item that provides backstory and adds provenience in their description huh? How forgetful of them . . .

I'm not, I can't find him the Bar Assn members list for his country either.

Oh and Eirik, Mint is mint, telling me that the man from Sotheby's "says mint(A+) they obviously mean for this particular watch ref. compared to the other 179. " is laughable as any collector will tell you. What a fucking crazy thing to say, here is their definition of Mint: Mint condition is an expression used to denote the quality of a pre-owned goods as displaying no imperfections and being in pristine condition relative to its original production state. The goods are in the condition they were in when they left the factory and preferably should not have been handled without gloves to prevent skin oils and acids marring the finish. There is no way they would describe a watch that been on active service as mint. Try to understand what you are bullshitting about before doing so.

Oh and BTW, I have asked around, no one in the Rolex collectors upper circles seems to know of you. Oh yes, you make a mistake if you think that because this is a rep forum no one here knows people in high places or is in fact are people in high places themselves; there are people here who can (and do) drop 50k on a piece without a second thought. There are people here who spend that filling up their yacht for a Sunday jaunt (not joking, srsly). You underestimate who you're dealing with and that was a mistake. Now, clear off.
