Did you bake that dial to look like that?

It’s actually a spray called mod podge. I coated it and washed some off. I’m thinking it may look like a semi water damaged dial. I dunno. Plus it evens out the imperfections in my lume job. Which was the primary reason.

I love this piece. The 5513 is in my opinion the best rep to get that you can mod. Hopefully I can find a good wg service dial for mine.

It is just one of my favourite watches, possibly my all time favourite, I fell in love with it the minute I saw one. Hopefully you find a dial they do come up from time to time here.

I have a new Vietnam dial coming in sometime this week. I messed up the last ones lume and couldn’t get a good look that I wanted. Hopefully this new one will satisfy my ocd. But I’m sure it won’t. I’ll most Likely build a franken later when I find a reasonable service dial.

So after a seeing the watch in the daylight as well as the pictures I posted, I was certain that the hands needed some changing. Luckily I had a set it my drawer of lost watch parts. The outcome is wonderful. Enjoy!
