The Green of gen Hulk is stunning! Angus, a comparison of measurements with the caliber would be very useful (thickness, case width, case length, case width at the end of the lugs, bezel width)

LOVE the new Cermit (love the old Kermit too - I'm going to have a stable of frogs soon)

Not a big fan of the color green in general but if I'm to choose I'd go 116610LV's green on green. However for blue I'd prefer black dial....

Haha sorry I don’t have the tools with me, passed to my photographer to take detailed pics for later usage and will return the watch to ARF and break down for replication.

What’s the usage of those dimensions? Are they not available on other websites? Since it’s gen specs?

Very nice, you can clearly see the halo effect and the black hole effect from those gens, i bet in person it was even more noticeable, especially under indirect light.

Please pressure them to make better crystals!

If they focus on the things that are difficult to franken/mod first, like case shape, rehault and bracelet/clasp, then move on to dial, insert and hands. Don’t really care about the crystal, odds are I’m always gonna change that to gen, since it’s such a big factor on the watch.

i have a couple of reps I use in rotation with my gens. And at the end of the day, looks are important, but for me, the feel is just as important. For example, when I first got my Noob Daytona v2.2, well that thing felt nowhere close to a gen Rolex. That needed some heavy modding to feel right.

A good base, with a good movement, quality craftsmenship on the steel work like ARF is known for, well then at least we got the bones for an awesome franken :)

Yea ideally this approach is taken! However we know factories have different priorities - market for people who never mod is much much much bigger than the rest of us. Also to earlier poster's point on gen part availability I won't bet on being able to franken this SUB41 soon. I would probably go with whoever come up with the least visible tells from wrist. My personal priority would be sth like:

1. case shape (inclusive of the crown length/crystal height/lugs)
2. bezel (both visual and the rotation feel)
3. crystal/prof (AR/black hole)
4. dial and DW
5. hands
6. bracelet/SEL
7. movement (since the sub is a really simple 3 hand+date)
8. rehault

And where are people going to get the dial, insert and hands from exactly? / And why not get these right on the rep in the first place...

Jenni Elle video
She's great - never seen her videos before.

Takeaways for me from that analysis are:

1. Size is as near as dammit the same as the 116610 (yay!)
2. Except for the slimmer lugs (yay!)
3. The Cermit bezel is the same green as the Hulk (boo!)

I can get over 3 though - as the Cermit is a better watch than the Hulk. ;)

The demands some members have, my god. When I first started this hobby many, many years ago, everybody was happy with what they could get. Reps were not even 20%of the quality they have nowadays. Honestly, so many reps are very hard to distinguish from the real deal (99,9% of the people), nitpicking over small details would ruin my hobby. That being said: looking forward to all the goodies coming our way. And thanks to Angus and some other dealers making our hobby possible.

The bezel insert looks different green to me, but the gen Hulk I have was from 2015, not sure if this matters.

My point about the insert green being the same as the Hulk's was taken from the video review, which was a hands-on comparison. It's also been reported elsewhere. I'm disappointed, because the cermit insert green in Rolex publicity stills looked a darker, richer green.

BTW Angus, when I posted my reply above, your photo hadn't appeared, so I missed that critical element of your reply! It does look a little different in your photo, doesn't it. And I wouldn't be at all surprised if there are differences in the Hulk insert colour depending on the year/batch.

My disappointment is that the insert of the cermit isn't significantly different to the Hulk's.

I thought my eyes were playing, I did notice the Cermit bezel a tiny bit lighter?

Angus, do you notice substantial differences in size on your wrist? which one looks smaller on your wrist?
