This thread is about the 41sub my friend.

I do have my favourites, but my favourite has nothing to do with the reality.

We have handled all the watches, photos can trick your eyes and trust no one but yourself.

When all the "Final Editions" are out and I will do a comprehensive review on all of them.

You're a good guy... and a saint. Some of these questions and replies from people... just ughr :picard2:
I don't know how you even reply to this drivel. Oh well, appreciated. Thanks for the insight into how the world of rep manufacturing is.

Look forward to your reviews :)

If they focus on the things that are difficult to franken/mod first, like case shape, rehault and bracelet/clasp, then move on to dial, insert and hands. Don’t really care about the crystal, odds are I’m always gonna change that to gen, since it’s such a big factor on the watch.

i have a couple of reps I use in rotation with my gens. And at the end of the day, looks are important, but for me, the feel is just as important. For example, when I first got my Noob Daytona v2.2, well that thing felt nowhere close to a gen Rolex. That needed some heavy modding to feel right.

A good base, with a good movement, quality craftsmenship on the steel work like ARF is known for, well then at least we got the bones for an awesome franken :)

I'd rather see it in person before saying that much, it's not uncommon that they show a good prototype and then they fuck up the rest of the batches. So I won't believe in a good crystal until i see one.

I hope ZF, VSF, and all the factories who are working on both the new and the old sub will step up their game for real and do something that's actually worth the money they ask

(ex. noob with that piece of trash timebomb movement in their GMT and they ask basically as much as their daytona)

Mini Review of RXF's 116610LN

I compared it to gen and prof, it's on par with gen and better than prof. At least, in my opinion.

I could be wrong but every one thinking a franken is on the cards probably has another thing coming. The watches were released 10 days ago. Where are all these spare parts coming from? If the gens are at an absurd $30k on chrono24 how much you think a crystal is going to go for when it’s literally the only one available in the world? My guess is >$1000. All of a sudden you start to care that little bit less about the flaws in a rep...

Very nice, i just read it, hopefully ARF's and Noob's will be on par!

Would love to see some pictures of it next to a gen one, to see the difference in the same conditions!

Going out to pick up the gen 41 Kermit

Please let us know the crystal size ASAP please. It looks like it's a little bigger maybe to allow for a larger dial. there is less (almost no) gap between the crystal and the insert on the 126610. Gen crystals have a stairstep edge profile, the lower indented step is the measurement that denotes the crystal size, currently 29.5mm for Subs and GMTs. That's what the 295 stands for in the part number.

not everyone buys a rep to do a franken. and not everyone can spend almost 400 euros for a gen crystal. while many buyers would like to buy a rep that is close to gen, without spending any more money on it.

How do you know gen parts will fit without modding? It might be later on in later versions but straight away? Also as mentioned before, it will be very hard to gets parts for a new releases model

Both are beautiful, to be honest... but having said that, the leaning more toward the new Kermit, I like the green on black more.
