Not sure if 41mm or 37mm AP (blue dial) would fit me

Not sure if 41mm or 37mm AP (blue dial) would fit me

My wrist circumference is 6.85 inch (17.4cm). My flat span is about 53mm (placing a straight ruler over my wrist and measure where I can see my skin).

I have small wrists but got bigger arms than average I believe. In general I prefer bigger/sporty watches, I mostly just wear muscle fit t shirts, no suits.

However I am not sure if the 41mm Royal Oak would fit me, I know the lug to lug is like 51mm so it might be quite pushing it? But I also understand wrist shots always look bigger.

The pictures above is a "42mm" seiko for reference, it is "42mm" case diameter but it has a gearwheel design, so the actual circle is probably more like 41.

I read dozens of posts on gen forums (like the rolex forum), 37mm looks good on wrist shots but they kinda look small when looking as a third person from a distance?

Any input is appreciate.

Summary: 6.85 wrist, prefer bigger/sporty watch but worried 41mm would be TOO big?
Summary: you’ll be fine either way, what matters is that you like it.
Long version: you can try drawing up the dimensions of each respective watch on your wrist to get a rough feeling of it. Alternatively, I’m sure someone has made a mock up of them online that you can print out and see the look of it on you this way. Might feel weird to do and I agree it is but it is what it is.

7inch it 17.78cm tho, im so lost on whether i can do 41mm or 37mm
Oh, I actually measured 17.5cm, but converted to inches using 2.5cm instead of 2.54cm, so more accurately my wrist should be 6.9in. I think you definitely can pull off 41mm.

Is there a factory that makes a 1.5 link for the 15202? Struggling to get a good fit otherwise. I've looked at gen, but the prospect of a link that costs more than the rep feels bad.
To anyone with the same question: I've confirmed with my TD that .75 links can be sourced for the ZF15202 as of yesterday when I asked. This is nice because it keeps the aesthetic more similar to intended and can still get you the half link or 1.5 link fit you're looking for.

There is no APSF 15202 so only ZF.
For the 15450 I’ll go with APSF.
Hi @legend — I was wondering if I could pick your brain a little bit on the 15/16202 in comparison to the 15450, both SS w/ blue dial.

With a wrist of roughly 6.75"/17.1cm and an overall slimmer figure, I am thinking one of these will fit me much better than a 15500 (although I do like the idea of a black dial on the 15500). I am torn between the three, and am curious to see if you'd prefer one over the other in my scenario.

I was leaning towards the 15/16202, but the 15450 to my untrained mind seems like the better buy with not having to mess with fixing pizza hands and all of that "fun" stuff. Of course, I don't expect anything 1:1, but I would prefer to purchase whatever option you feel comes "closest" to that in terms of fit & finish, movement, coloring, etc. In a perfect world, this would be a nice precursor for me to understand how I like the idea and fitment of an "AP" (subjective of course, being a rep) prior to finding a gen. I am a little late to the game of coming to appreciate the whole 5-figure watch ordeal, so hopefully getting one of these in my hands will get me cross that mental line of pulling the trigger.

Thank you and have a great morning/evening,
Z

All that you wrote considered, I will advocate you go for the 15450 over the 15202/16202. Thank you.

Guys, AFP have been raided and are now closed from info I’ve had from a TD.

Looking at other factories for a watch, who are the better factory from the list below? as have had no experience with any of them. Thank you

Is the acronym "APSF" short for a more complete factory name? Just trying to get clarity on AP vs APF vs APSF. I've made assumptions that certain abbreviations/names are the same to find out they're not.

APF sorry, typo

APSF - Royal Oaks, 15500, 15450, 15510

APF - Royal Oak Offshores, 42mm, 44mm, 43mm, etc... they also do Royal oaks but their models are not reccomended

Hi everyone,

I recently aqquired an APSF ROO 15707CB in the M2M section, and I just noticed that there is some misalignment in the internal rotating bezel versus the hour markers.
Is there any way that this is a fixable issue without the sourcing and replacment of this bezel ring by adjusting it in the watch?
I have had a few mm-s here or there in the aligment of all my divers rotating bezels, it is not that big of a concern for me. If its not an easy fix, I'll just enjoy it like that, but wanted to ask around in any case.

Thanks!

Yes the dive bezel and dial can be aligned unless it’s a printing flaw on the bezel and/or dial.
