Hey guys! I'm pretty new to APs and I was wondering what Factory you guys thought made the best rep of the AP 44mm Schmacher in titanium. Here's an example!

Very confusing this world but thank you to all that contribute. I have read the best rep for most part is a 15202 from ZF? Is this accurate? If so where do I go next to try and purchase this from a TD. I’m struggling bad here. Sorry to be a PITA

I disagree that the best AP rep is the ZF 15202. I would rate for example the ZF or APSF15500 above that. That is my personal opinion though.
But you should get what you like, perceived status of rep nonwithstanding.

@legend said previously that adding the Tissot powermatic 80 movement into the 15703 diver is not really worth it because it makes servicing complicated. Is this true? What makes it more complicated? Is the movement not going to be as reliable as a regular swapped movement otherwise from available options? Looking to make a franken eventually, want the best for longetivity and ease of service / replacement parts. Thanks

Given the choice of these movements commonly used in the replica divers:

1. A2824 (or ETA)
2. A2836 (or ETA)
3. Powermatic 80
4. Miyota 9015
5. Clone 3120

I will pick the 2836 all day long especially on a closed caseback model, for the ease of maintenance and instant date change. The Powermatic80 movement can be serviced don't get me wrong, but parts may not be as readily available or regulation may not be as simple even if it is a modified ETA movement.
Remember though, this is my preference. It is not an absolute choice for everyone.

Is the 2836 easily swapped into a ZF 15703? What’s the best donor watch to use? Could you check PM?

Nope, there was no rep ti bracelet. Only the midcase was Ti from noob. For the ti bracelets most people used gen bracelets as they were more easily obtainable back then.

As far as I know Caliber 2121 was used in AP15202 which was first released in 1975. So can I ask how is Caliber K2121 different from the 2121/3 used in AP15202 during 2004-2008 or the AP15202 manufactured after 2018 only see the number 2121

What do you think of the orf 15500 blue dial out of the box compared to zf v3 or apsf, which one would you pick and why? If not modding, and which one to mod and why. Thanks
