There is no short cut for metal work. I suggest go slow do a bit and test fit....do more and test fit again.After making a plan, I have two concerns.
first. Assembly of wso bezel and t21 - From what I have seen in the thread, it appears that the t21 is slightly large and that it is necessary to grind the bezel.
second. Assembling the Raffles and Yuki Dial - The Raffles case is for 28~29mm and the Yuki dial is 28mm, so I'm concerned that it may not be fixed properly.
This is my first time assembling a watch, so I'm not sure how the parts fit together tightly.
Is there a simple solution or something I misunderstood?
I made this one with a gen case and a 2789 (with no rotor to keep manual winding only) .You could try and machine 1"" from the diameter of a dial but you will be getting quite close to the lume plots , etc Yuki offers the best selection of 5500 explorer dials to date. Mochacha has a few as well
Have you considered a 6429 commando?
I heard through the grapevine that Raffles is working on a commando dial (with the help of yours truly)
This is mine with a raffles case set and Yuki dial (when they offered them )

@369mafia found them on ofrei,
About the calendar works, is it a problem to leave it in? ie does that change anything in the way the dial and movement fit? or is it for worksmanship's sake?

It's no problem at all to keep the calendar works in. It's just the old Engineer in me - if stuff isn't doing a job of work in a machine then get it out of there. As you say - "Good Housekeeping."About the calendar works, is it a problem to leave it in? ie does that change anything in the way the dial and movement fit? or is it for worksmanship's sake?
