I thought the raffles cases fit gen movements, and the movement spacers were to accommodate eta movements?

I know my Gen cases take an eta using a raffles spacer, so I assume raffles cases are the same.

I’m not sure, it just seemed likely, since the spacer works in both raffles or Gen cases.

It’s possible it’s not made to Gen spec, just close enough that it works.

Maybe when I get off work I can take some photos and measurements.

I thought Raffles cases fit NH movements without spacer and ETA with. NH diameter is 29.36mm, 3130 is 28.5mm.
Spacer is 0.4mm thick. Theoretically spacer should make a snug fit.

What do you think guys?

Maybe raffles cases are for whatever is the biggest of the movements most likely to be used, and the spacers are to make up the difference?

I’ve taken to using my own 3d printed spacers because they’re dirt cheap, relative to a store bought one.

That's sorta correct. The Raffles cases generally fit the larger NH movements, and they come many times with spacers and screw in rings that give the ability to mount ETA movements.

I'm actually thinking about building 14060 sub with 3130. Not sure yet. I'm Gemini, so I'm changing my mind faster than teenage girl on the date.

Yes It absolutely will take a 3130/ 3135. Stem height's spot on, etc

You need to use this as a Movement Spacer for it to be perfect;

I am busy doing Alchemy this evening . . . turning base steel (of the snapped off stem) in to CO2 . . .but preserving the Stainless Steel. It's magic.

Which spacer are you talking about? Is it metal or plastic?
