Just a quick Disclaimer; don't be tempted to chainsaw down any old tree. It must be hardwood - and if you can, Oak.I actually have a pretty nice Stihl chainsaw...bought it to cut down a tree in my backyard, and one for a girl I was trying to impress. Other than that, it's been sitting unused for 8 years, lol.
Here in the UK most Oak trees are protected - which is great and how it should be - this one came down in a storm.
Use a Softwood anvil at your peril - you'll be forever picking pices of it from the end of your tweezers and out of your movements. Stuff of nightmares.
It must be Hardwood.
