just finished this today, dial arrived last night.
i don't think i'll be swapping the hands when the 13mm launches... i'm happy the way it is.
initially i wanted to relume the dial with a beige color. but i kinda dig the yellow and so i went ahead to paint the hands.

the hands look more yellowish in photos but it matches the dial in-person.
I was also going for this look after deciding to retain the lume.

this will join the rest of the gang.
i have a couple more explorers not shown here. i think i may have a problem, time to explore some options.

"mk2" and "mk3"
i'll be replacing the "mk3" dial later this week and making some modifications to the movement as it winds like crap right now.

these springbars look vintage enough for me (protruding springbars) without having to deal with drilling the lug holes lol, i just dont have the proper tools and skills...

I got a contact from Ken. He said he directly inquired to the factory, but they said they couldn't change the mold for a small quantity of about 200 sets. This means that only the length can be adjusted in the hands set. Guess I have to take out only the hour hand from the NH hands set until we find a better product....

Have you got this hand mounted?

Nice work ! The hands doo look alight brighter in the pic but I can relate to the struggles lol

look fwd to seeing the new dial swap!

ps drilling lugs is quite easy especially since they are already piloted for us.!! Use a 1.0mm then 1.1 then 1.3 and your golden.
cutting oil and a drill as long as you can hold it steady and straight , you will be fine. if you snap the bit. just force it out from the back side and continue.

Back in my day...raffles cases didnt have drilled lugs and we had to drill them ourselves or have JMB drill them for us.

haha, I see you are skipping the 1.2mm like me now 😁
the bits I have are sold as 1.3 but my calipers tell me their 1.2 so I dont know who to believe lol
as long as I can get the spring bars to fit :ROFLMAO:

anyone has tested PCB photoresist yet?
i got a roll of a cheap AliExpress.

I am probably doing it wrong, it's super difficult to peel off the bottom and top protective layers.

also, instructions say to put the negative print, then expose.
Then when you develop, I am guessing that part of the film goes away...but is it the developped part that goes away or the non developped?

I will do my own tests of course, but I am keen to hear any experience

I like that bracelet. Where did you get it?
Ebay
the seller offers the bracelet lengths.
then you source your own clasp and end links. Which in this case I got from Raffles.
