Any TD can source it for you, I've seen it on many TDs and even if not on your TD just ask them!

Yes, he said that he would check with the factory and see if they can accommodate my request. That was a couple of days ago and I haven’t heard anything back since then. I’m sure it will probably take a few days to find out if they are willing to do it. In the mean time, I did order the 44 special black steel on the rubber strap. If they can swap out the black DW on the SS model I will probably sell the black steel.

I'm waiting on an answer to the same question regarding putting the correct black date wheel in the black version from the factory. I was told if he could get it done it would cost me an additional $40.
My TD just got back to me an said it won't be a problem swapping out the white DW with the black. I just placed my order for it. I will post my QC images once he sends me them. I'm pretty excited to get this watch. I tried the Gen version on at my local authorized dealer and I fell in love with it. If it's even close to being a super rep I will be one happy camper.
If you haven' ordered your blacksteel yet you might want to hold off. Since I just ordered the SS version I will be more than likely selling my brand new blacksteel at a slight discount from what I paid for it. Just PM me and let me know if you are interested in buying mine. I just need to get a few more posts under my belt so I'm eligible to sell on the message board. I figure that by the time I receive my blacksteel I should have enough posts to be eligible to sell on the message board.

I received my black steal today and I’m absolutely thrilled with it. I went to my local AD over the weekend and tried on the GEN version (top pic Gen, bottom pic REP)) and I’m super impressed with the rep. For being 1/10[SUP]th[/SUP] the price of a gen I am absolutely thrilled. Besides the lume color being slightly more yellow on the rep, which might just be because of the lighting in the store, I am really happy with how close the gen is to the rep. The only minor difference after wearing both Gen and Rep is that the bezel action on the GEN is smoother. Besides that, they feel almost identical on the wrist. I also did purchase the SS version and my TD agreed to swap out the white DW for the black but I have received my QC pics yet for the SS version. I will only keep one of the watches, but if the SS version is anything like the black steel I will be very happy. I will post some pics once I receive the SS version with the black DW.

Looks brilliant, what do you think of the bezel colour, pics look brushed and also shiny which is good to the gen? And alignment?
