Ok guys, a new strap from Corrigia arrived today, I am happy with it this time ;)

Ordered this one:

https://corrigia.com/en/in-stock-sa...type-dark-raw-finish-true-vintage-folded?c=58

Not sure why the pics in this link show both versions, I ordered the dark finish and I think it does look pretty good.

Here are some pictures of the strap I received:

&donkaper I like it. How does it fee? I have some straps from corrigia that are amazing soft and some that are a bit stiff and both have their own appeal too. I think the strap you got looks more like the 2nd pic however I like the pics you took. The ones in the corrigia shot I don’t think made it look all that appealing.

I think you got a beautiful strap. I just don’t think corrigia does a good job of taking pics that accurately convey the products they’re sending you.

It's soft, maybe just a little bit stiffer then L20 strap I had from him, but is it possible that this is due to the thicker vintage construction? Overall it's very comfortable, softer then many straps I've had.

Yes, pics on the website can be a problem, believe me I've spent some time looking for pics of his straps elswhere, Insta, FB, various forums, to get a better idea of what to expect, and that is why I've tried to post as good pics of this strap as I could to give you guys an idea, I think with Corrigia we should be posting pics of any strap we receive from him, maybe then it will finally be easier to understand what we can expect.

This one is very beautiful but - as always with Corrigia - you wont recognize it from the pictures. Its a pure gamble ... but this time you won ;-)
There are 2 pics on the webpage, one showing the strap with dark finish and mine is not far from that.

But, funny thing about pictures, when I look at the strap in my hand and then at the pics I took, they are different as well ;)

And I am expecting the Raw Finish Gruppo Gamma to arrive tomorrow, will try to post some pics as well.

I'll never order another strap from Corrigia. It's a crap shoot.

Well, it's a hit and miss to say the least. Definitely would not buy anything without a big discount because their regular prices are ridiculous for this quality.

This happens all the time. I can’t tell you how many times I take and post a picture just to realize that they look completely different. I noticed this a lot (with other peoples pictures) of the 605.

I even mentioned or commented a page or two back where I love a strap in person yet it is not one I would have expected or ordered. But I put it on and it looks amazing. I even posted a picture and talked about how it looks different in person.

There is a lot to consider when choosing a strap and often times, even if the pics are accurate, you don’t know how they will mix until you put a strap and reference together. I can think of a hundred examples where I took a strap I completely forgot I had and put it on a reference I thought it had no right going on just to end up staring at it for hours while thinking “damn. Now this is beautiful. It looks like this is the perfect combination”.

We gotta try things out in person. It’s a must.

The 1118 is a perfect example of that. It looks and feels entirely different in person than it does in pics. But straps have a way of doing that, the way they reflect and absorb light and also considering the way cameras interpret the image.

I just ordered the corrigia Mignatta. I will let you know how it looks when it gets here.

Today I have the Z12 (I believe) on a 364. Nice combo. Pics won’t load. I’ll post one later.

donkacper - I can't say that I like the frayed edges or 'scruffy' finish on Panerai straps. Personal preference, of course. However, the stitching and detailing of the Bosphorus & Simona straps are so much more precise than the Corrigia strap you posted above (and others I've seen for sale), makes me wonder what Corrigia is up to. Are they just using the discounted 'sale' prices to offload substandard 'training' straps?

Well, I talked to Cengio regarding the stitching on these straps, he answered:

"bad stitching is made with a antique awl, it s not bad but looks not propotional."

I also discussed the Corrigias with another strapmaker and he was rather impressed with the work that Cengio does with these antique tools. Definitely different type of straps then Simona but all depends on your taste I guess. My problem with Corrigia was always the differences in the colors of the actual straps received and the pics on his website, I have a few more ordered at the moment and will post some pics when they arrive.

Ok guys, this is a strap from Thomas Leather Handmade, this is a top shelf strap, extremely high quality leather, very soft and comfortable, these straps are expensive but quality is really top level.
This is the "Vintage Tan" model, a thing of beauty.

OK some stuff from me. Mostly JFS straps:

JFS antrhacide stingray, great with blue dial and titanium cases:
JFS ostrich leg, great for titanium and carbotech:
JFS exotic leathers and crazy horse:
Stach ammo strap (one of very first Polish strap makers, years ago....) and some third party strap:

great one-of-a-kind coin buckles made by Staruszek (Piotr):

I just received my first strap from Dirk. Have to get used to it, it's a totally different type of strap, much thinner then my other straps, but overall impression is great.

I must admit, I’ve kinda had it with Corrigia and they’re pics/ strap variations.

I ordered a Mignatta.

Also I ordered it in 24 and they sent me a 26. Sometimes I fee like when you order a custom strap, they just send you whatever they have made already.

Specified that I wanted tan inlay and dark beige stitching. In the notes I put that “looking for a black strap with tan/stitching darker than ecru” and this is what I received.
