Strap Freaks!!!

I must admit, I’ve kinda had it with Corrigia and they’re pics/ strap variations.

I ordered a Mignatta.

Also I ordered it in 24 and they sent me a 26. Sometimes I fee like when you order a custom strap, they just send you whatever they have made already.

Specified that I wanted tan inlay and dark beige stitching. In the notes I put that “looking for a black strap with tan/stitching darker than ecru” and this is what I received.

From my experience if you received wrong size he should make you a new strap in correct size. That happened to me once before.

Also, IMO Mignatta is not supposed to be black, it should be dark green I think.

Anyway, as said earlier, it's a hit and miss with him, but send him and email about incorrect size and your other complains.

I did email him. He said I could return it for a full refund. I got it on sale and it wasn’t a bad price so I told him I’d just keep it but I just wanted him to know it’s not what I was expecting and didn’t look like the pics. And the wrong size.

I also asked him about trying to make what I wanted but I don’t think it will happen honestly.

I did email him. He said I could return it for a full refund. I got it on sale and it wasn’t a bad price so I told him I’d just keep it but I just wanted him to know it’s not what I was expecting and didn’t look like the pics. And the wrong size.

Yeah, I find him a bit difficult to talk to as well, anyway, good he at least offered a refund.

It's a real shame this happens though.

Fortunately the sale is over now and I don't have to think about his straps

But to sum up, I bought 6 straps during this Xmas sale, received 4 so far and like them all, so this time I got lucky I guess.

I think if I had ordered more conventional straps. Like the known browns and the ones you see on Instagram a lot my chances would have been better. I kill myself but trying to get tricky and funky. As always.

The latest strap from Corrigia - when I got it/when it arrived, I was incredibly disappointed because it is not what I ordered and had an accurate picture been posted, it is not a piece I would have ordered. Especially in new condition.

It was a little stiff so I started bending it and working it and breaking it in and with each bend, it darkened and got softer. After about an hour or so playing with it, it grew on me. In comfort and looks.

I still think it would have been better the way I ordered it. With an inlay color that matching the indicies but as time passes I like this strap more and more.

It has a dark dark midnight blue tone to it. Almost black. I guess the “Mignatta” name is making more and more sense.

I was talking to JayBee the other day about ST straps and how I purchased a number of already made straps and I love them all. I have a few straps I don’t like as much and they’re all the ones I ordered to spec. Picking out my own details.

Like sometimes (for me anyway) I have to get out of my own way and just let the craftsmen do their thing.

Another Corrigia arrived today. Flot Mas with custom boxed stitching.

Again incorrect.

Length 135/85 instead of 130/80.
Stitching was supposed to be beige, it's obviously not.
I also asked for 2 extra holes, strap just has the standard 5.

I might put it for sale.

Leather has been taken from a very old bag. It feels nicely on the wrist and has a great authentic developed patina. Love it!

I’ll play. Black Beaver Tail on the 127; Greenstraps vintage on the 2533; two Maddog straps for the H2O, orange stitch came with the watch and picked up the stingray. Also have a few others but they’re not that exciting.
