Hi. Im from the Philippines. I'm new on this forum but definitely not a noob when it comes to forum etiquette and behavior. (I'm usually active maintaining my Android Development threads over at xda-devs) I don't post unless I have to as I prefer reading and learning while finding my own answers on questions that have been asked more times than old timers care to hear about and is already stickied, wiki'd or in an FAQ.
I'm new to the Rep world though and love everything I've been learning the past few days. Too bad I learned of RWI a day too late as I bought a DSSD from a local dealer (not sure if they're on RWI as well) who doesn't know squat except what her supplier probably tells her. The Rep I bought "supposedly" comes from the UK (yeah right! All Reps are probably made in Asia) and knowing what I know now, is probably an early Noob Factory version from the specific M serial on the Rehaut by the 6 marker. While I do feel bad for not finding RWI before I did, I'm using that first Rep as an opportunity to learn more about the game.
In fact, I've found a local watchsmith who is willing to service the item for me. (General cleaning, Movement lubrication, silicone greasing, sealing HEV, Relume of dial and bezel pearl, waterproof testing) Hopefully he's as reliable as others who have used his services say. (Mostly Gen owners from a Gen forum I got the number from) As soon as I sort out the bracelet issue with the local dealer, I'm sending this DSSD to the watchsmith and hopefully get it back in better shape. I'm not keeping that Rep though as I've found another one on RWI that I'm looking to buy as soon as my clients' check clear by months end. The Rep might go to another family member who is just happy to have a watch that keeps the time and looks good on the wrist too.![]()
