Just received my Spectre from TD. Really disappointed to see the rotor getting stuck in the movement by some metal piece.

IMG_20170615_164811.jpg

TD told me to either ship it back to him or to get it fixed locally.

Do you guys have any idea which part of the movement is the metal piece is? TD told me that I just need to remove the rotor screw to lift up the rotor and remove the metal piece but I don't know where did that metal piece came from.

Should I ship it back to TD or find a local watchsmith to fix it? Either way I have to bear the shipping fees or repair charges.

This is really disappointing considering if the metal piece came off during shipping, it might drop out during daily usage too. The bezel on this piece is really loose as well.

Personally I always prefer my local watch smith. However, considering you're from Singapore shipping back the watch to your TD may not be a big deal for you.

I'm concerned about the customs risk.

By the way, does anyone know how to remove the buckle from the rep NATO strap and fit it into the gen NATO strap? The rep NATO buckle doesn't have any screws and I'm not sure how to get the buckle out.

Am having to send my watch back to TD after 1 week too! My rotor rattles creating a plasticky sound & the crown grinds when I turn it.

I have no local watchsmith to take too who look at a rep so am forced to take the customs risk and send back to TD!

If customs confiscate the watch when we are sending back to TD, will the TD still replace?

That's correct.

Especially when the TD said this in the email:

'Please do not ship the package by Fedex / UPS/ DHL/ TNT because Chinese customs won’t allow packages with replica watches into China. They will either discard the package or return the package to you. In this event we will not be held responsible for any lost of watches.'

Hi guys,

So I managed to remove the case back and took out that piece of metal. It's the cover that's supposed to be on the rotor screw. I tried to put it back on the rotor screw but it just comes back off when I flip the watch over. Do you guys have this issue? Or is it supposed to be glued on? If nothing works then I have to just make do without the rotor screw cover.

Hi guys, I received my first ever QC photos for my first ever Rep. So excited it's a SPC300. But the Timegraph readings made me quite a bit worried. The rate is 18.1s/d. Is this timekeeping rate bad and do you guys experience this level of time loss/addition with your Spectres?

Should I reject or accept this watch? Would the TD regulate it before sending it to me?

The rest of the QC pics look fine to me.

EDIT - The TD regulated it to 5s/d. Seconds hand video appears pretty regular and no heart attack jumps or stutters. Green lighting and so excited to receive this.

I've found how to make the second hand stutter/slip. Hold it up vertically, when the second hand is moving vertically downwards where the gravity is also pulling the second hand down, the second hand starts slipping like nobody's business which is really really ugly... Happens a lot since it's on your wrist at an angle.

I hate the 8215, why can't they just come up with a new movement?

The Neutral Zone
The occasional stutter of the second hand never really bothered me once I wear it. As long as the timing stays accurate, which it is on mine, then i'm good.

The stutter happens almost everytime I bring the watch up to look at it though... That really bothers me. But yeah the timekeeping has been fine. Nothing more than a few seconds a day at most. Lack of hacking and winding on this movement too which sucks. But it doesn't have a date function so it's not that bad since the only thing to set is the time.

As long as the watch keeps time then it's doing fine by me. The stutter is famous on this watch. I've been a proud owner since earlier this year and if I had money for gen then I would get gen. As for now, the rep is as stable as can be.

I actually just took a look at the gen. Flaws I can see directly are gen has more filled indices and slightly grainy dial while this dial is simply plain grey and not as filled. Bezel is also slightly darker.

I received my Spectre earlier this week and I am astonished. This is my first ever 'real' rep and it has taken me months of reading and decision making to get here.

Ordered from PT. Francis and team were amazing. Regulated the watch after the first timegraph showed 18s/d to 5s/d and sent the video of the seconds hand moving and a lume shot for QC. I ordered the watch with both the Nato strap and stainless steel bracelet.

Only 2 things stand out.
1. As everyone knows Miyota movement kind of 'stops' when you make sudden movements and then continues on its merry way after recovering. It bothers me now cos I look at it all the time but I am sure it will become a non issue in the future.
2. The NATO strap is indeed a flimsy P.O.S. I really like the omega branding and 007 logo on it. Shame the fabric sucks.

Other than these 2 things it has exceeded my expectations and I am glad to join the club of rep Spectre owners.
