I'm not sure what this thing about the bezel numbers is. You can find plenty of angles with the VSF rep where all bezel numbers are visible. View my sold one below:Yes, you're right. What do you think of these bezel numbers?

It is when direct light is shaded from the bezel, the numbers disappear in photos. With gen they don't.I'm not sure what this thing about the bezel numbers is. You can find plenty of angles with the VSF rep where all bezel numbers are visible. View my sold one below:
A movement picture would help out greatly. Particularly, a photo of the balance wheel. So far, I'm leaning towards that being a VSF.
Haha, that'll be a 1k for 5 of these reps then.@William986 If that's a rep, I'll take 5.
That would be a gen. Rep comes with a much thinner external rehaut ring (inner polished S/S static bezel part).I just picked up this gen Omega Nato strap in blk/grey to go with my VSF v2 Spectre. The straps feel and look's great, but these reps have gotten so good that my untrained eye would like some confirmation to be at ease.
can anyone help me verify if this is gen or rep? Thanks in advance!

The disappearing of the numbers is also vastly exaggerated on most photos. It is not that obvious when you actually look at the bezel with your eyes. It really is a very minor flaw in reallife, that you probably won't even notice if you haven't read about it in RWI.That would be a gen. As a general remark from me, a lot of people get hung onto 'disappearing' bezel numbers on a rep and judge the rep-vs-gen on the photos by that and that only. I held the pre-owned gen at the Omega AD and can confirm while there is a noticeable difference between Omega's true liguid metal- filled bezel markings and the polished/varnished ones we get on our reps, in reality the gen bezel numbers disappear too at certain angles and subdued lighting conditions, just like on the photo you attached above. Reps do more, but gens do too. In my own personal observation that is. Cheers.
I've gotta disagree. This is the reason why I sold my VSF Spectre. I felt like the bezel numerals would disappear in most indoor lighting conditions. It was a massive flaw. The disappearing of the numbers is also vastly exaggerated on most photos. It is not that obvious when you actually look at the bezel with your eyes. You're free to express your own thoughts and feelings about the particular thing, no probs at all, that's why these type of forums exist.I've gotta disagree. any ideas from this esteemed community?Hi Spectre experts! Long shot but looking to find a replacement bezel insert for my VSF…wondering if anyone knows how to source one (TD doesn’t think factory will provide) or if a broken watch is out there as a source of donor parts perhaps?
Hard to buy these parts if a TD says they can't obtain from a factory. Either try to buy a broken watch for parts if one comes up in MSM or reach out to a watchsmith like @ado213 if he can help... failing that maybe just opt for a full replacement and buy a new watch on M2M sales (keep your old watch for parts if anything on the new one breaksany ideas from this esteemed community?
