Maybe a dumb question - why don't you use the original (on the watch) ?

Yes I think I said I could send the original to JMB and put the watch under glass to protect the movement from dust, I just prefer to have spares, What happens if he gets hit by a Tornado or a Land Shark? Then where am I ... Up shits creak without a paddle Thats where!

Don't say that, my caseback is on its way to him now!

I did borrow a spare for the interim, I want to keep wearing the watch.

What is this "costco" you speak of??? Just kidding.
But Seriously, was the rivet bracelet on your 5513 Rafflestime or even stock maybe? and the milsub dial Yuki? Sorry if you posted the info already I hopped around the pages a bit and couldn't find it.

So guys, I'm really wanting this 5517 milsub. Sead said he can get them but they are crap and I should get the 5513. If I get that how do I get the dial and hands? Need some direction pointing.

Helenarou - straight ahead, turn left at the end of the corridor.

Or just send them an email saying you want 'branded 5517 dial' .....

LOL. Yeah I can get the dial from Yuki but it's the hands man. I'll sit back and wait until a release comes out I guess or Thrasher wants to sell. He already told me Hell no though. Ha.

I did, heck MR has all versions with the 21j for $100 each. For that price you can have one to wear till you find a better one. You can practice welding lugs in. You can put it in a can of screws and shake it up. You can practice taking them apart and putting them back together. Get a couple for your nieces and nephews. Use them for party favors. It ain't like anyone ever keeps one for all that long, even the holy grails.

I got one of each flavor, just cause I could. It has to be the best bargain in repdom.

For those looking for hand options, don't forget the Omega seamaster 300 hands. I'm not certain the seconds hand fits the Eta pinion but I'm reasonably certain the hour and min hand do. These were often used as replacements "in the field" anyway, as were Mercedes hands.

I did did a lot of research and a nice gulf that was sold last year to (help) fund my gen 1680.

The seconds hand fits if you are talking about the Helenarou seamaster hands. I fit them to a 2879 just last night.

Actually I was talking about Omega hands. Ofrei has them. Seconds hand is painted white but paint can be stripped when it is re-lumed.

I wouldn't buy that....

That is what I hear but why exactly? I hear case not good but what does that mean? Is it the shape of the case or the way the parts fit together? Does the back not screw on correctly or the crystal falls out kind of thing? I saw one poster say his dial had "Oyster Perpetual Date" instead of "Oyster Perpetual". That would be a deal breaker but if the dial and hands are as pictured would be a quick fix to drop it into a different case like from a 5513 for example and reuse the full minute track bezel.

Thoughts?

I have mine on. I got it last week from MR. There is nothing wrong with it. It isn't like one painstakingly pieced together from every best part that one can acquire by spending $$$$$$. The construction is very good. Gen parts fit. It cost $100. This is the actual watch. It is exactly like the ETA version. You could get a new dial, age the insert, you could mod the case, you could get new hands, fit a low beat swiss. Whatever. Or you could wear it. Either way it is the price of a decent dinner date.
