I'm very impressed by these BP indeed: side of the links plated, good rehaut engraving, good insert, tight SEL (even tough a little flush), good datewheel an Cyclop... Really looks like a good deal

Agreed, I just wish they would plate the sides on the YG models too, I'd like to have a TT YG. Odd that only one color has the plating.

I've received my BP GMT today. It seems like a pretty well made watch. The sides of the mid-links are plated too, I appreciate this detail. But the watch as a whole is not my thing, so I think it will be hitting the M2M soon :) Here are a couple of pics:

Next to my favorite watch:

And of course a wrist shot, BP GMT on an 18.5cm wrist (7.25 ")

therion Very nice looking sample bro. Rehaut engraving looks excellent all around. Hard to see the hand stack in your pics, is it ICHS? It will go fast if you sell!

Yeah, this is the A2836 ICHS version, not the "time bomb" Chinese experiment movement :) I can't tell the difference between the two and I don't even want to, because once I see a flaw, I can't unsee it and it slowly drives me insane :D
The rehaut engraving is great, it's just misaligned by a fraction of a mm, but that's a 5 minute job for a watchsmith.
I think it's a great value, to make it perfect one should just pop in a black hole crystal and you got yourself a great rep.

Got my BP ichs today. I'm not sure about the colour as it has a bright copper tone and not rose gold. It's also running +60s per day so far. May have to regulate it. The biggest problem were the screws in the bracelet. They were very tight to remove and soft like hard candy. Also noticed the etched crown is too visible and not aligned properly with the dial. The color transition is also not perfect but overall its satisfactory.

This pic may show the copper tone I'm talking about better. Ps total weight is 146 gr.

Very nice watch. I would take it for the $33500 (or thereabouts) discount ...
RG is pretty copper-ish as opposed to YG I think.
Waiting for a BP TT CHNR myself ....

not sure I can pull it off on wrist :\ it's way too red in colour, does not show in pics above, my camera makes it look pale and less saturated than it really is. I will try and use another cam. Best I can describe it is as a stripped copper wire orange. Maybe overtime it will get lighter.

Yup it's red gold, when I asked Andrew he said:

"The rose gold is real rose gold plated on the watch.
Genuine Rolexes uses a mixture of pink gold and some other chemicals and its a very very small difference"

Though I highly doubt this is real rose gold, the difference is definitely not small.

Just an update, I polished the watch and it got rid of the redness a bit. I was afraid it might damage the wrapping or plating but no issues. It was a risk I was willing to take. I also serviced the 2836 which by the way looks very clean and brand new. It keeps time at - 1s per day now, it was super easy to fine tune using the screw.

Hey guys I know this is an old thread but I wanted to ask if anybody owning a BP or GMF two tone rootbeer has one or two bracelet links left he is not using.
I am willing to pay 10-20 USD if needed. Otherwise I will have to contact a TD to sell me the links.

I’m looking at the wrapped gold version of this watch, from BP factory. Anyone who has/had it that can share some thoughts? Also, some td says that is 904L stainless steel, some others says is 316 steel... thank you!
