I've gone for the BP 3186 (time bomb):notlistening:

Ordered yesterday, probably broke before it arrives at TD.

I'll post QC's once approved so we can see what the bezel is like on this version.

Am I overreacting if I don't accept this watch for upper-right SEL fitment? The gap seems to be enormous in this pic.. And isn't the black part of the bezel supposed to transition to brown inside the number 8 od 18? WTF?

No your correct it's too big, and the 18 transition is a mile off although not quite as noticeable on this colour combo.

Yeah, but still, it's there and I don't think I can live with that. Especially as I know that there are good ones out there, they just need to be found ;) Thanks for your reply! I'll just ask for another one.

Good call. Look at the gap in the bracelet after the first gold link on the bottom side!! this would rattle around! horrible in the hand. Good luck finding a good one, gen xtal would be a nice extra as the black hole is non existent.

It's my first BP, some of my friends have ordered their watches in the past and I've always found them inferior to other factories' products, they just never felt right, hard to explain. But I saw no other option with this particular watch, because I'm not risking buying a watch with the CHS movement inside, my watchsmith has already told me to f&#k off in advance :D I may have to go for another watch altogether, if they're all like that.

Very nice. Still thinking of getting the BP root beer myself or wait to see if ARF will come out with one with the new movement in the near future

Thought i would post approved QC's of my BP CHS

You got a good one! These QC pics are great quality, would you mind telling me which TD you bought this one from? I think I'm done with my TD and his super dooper ultra low resolution QC pics...

This is the reason I went for the BP, just to see if I even like it enough to go with one of the super expensive versions.

Yes i am happy with this.
The SEL's look pretty good as i have seen some other BP's with pretty bad SEL gaps so I'm lucky on that point.
Good date/window alignment.
Bezel showing a slight bump on the transition line over the 18 n 6, but not too bad and 'part of the course' with the Bicolor's.

I have started using Steve@Theonewatches again... He was my 1st TD and delivered a great SMP 300 to me.
I tried a few other TD's like TSwatches who delivered a couple of good ones. QC's not quite good as these but acceptable.
And my last before this was from one of the 'big ones' that i shall not name. They sent great quality QC's but were deliberately 'devious', covering missing lume on one of the dial indices with the use of the minute hand.
Not the behavior of a TD in my opinion. Obviously had a reject he needed to get rid of. So he gets no more from me.

Good luck choosing next TD. Give Steve a chance, he is polite and quick to respond to emails when you ask how your order is coming along.
Plus use 'Coupon 20' at checkout to get $20 off. That pays for the shipping

Noob are expensive but the ARF and VRF LNs are reasonably priced .... and the frisbee GMT hand hole surround has become a bit of an eyesore to me thanks to good old KJ2020's pointing it out ....
I am particularly hopeful about ARF. Then again who knows how long it is going to take and how it is going to turn out .... may as well get a BP in the mean time.

Sorry bro I thought you knew about that. Never meant to um... smack you in the face with it, haha.

Yours looks very promising compared to my first set of QC pics. Did I mention that I've received a second set of QC pics? Very low res ones? And that my watch was shipped without me approving them? No? Well, yeah, go figure. I need another TD I suppose. I might give Steve a chance, your experience certainly sounds appealing. His website is mighty slow, but that was never a reason for me choosing a certain TD. Some didn't even have websites and were great. For some time at least and then they weren't anymore. Like that TD of yours that tried to dump a turd on you. Live and learn right? I tried most of our TDs, but not Steve, so why not go with him for a change :) Thanks for the tip and the discount code, I appreciate it!

Can I ask a really stupid question. If you DON'T use the chrono function, etc is the GMF CHS still a timebomb?

It doesn't have a chrono, I assume you meant the GMT hand, but yes, if you leave it alone it should be relatively safe. People suggest to set it once, and put it on a winder so will never have to touch the crown again.

I've received my BP GMT today. It seems like a pretty well made watch. The sides of the mid-links are plated too, I appreciate this detail. But the watch as a whole is not my thing, so I think it will be hitting the M2M soon :) Here are a couple of pics:

Next to my favorite watch:

And of course a wrist shot, BP GMT on an 18.5cm wrist (7.25 ")

therion Very nice looking sample bro. Rehaut engraving looks excellent all around. Hard to see the hand stack in your pics, is it ICHS? It will go fast if you sell!

I'm very impressed by these BP indeed: side of the links plated, good rehaut engraving, good insert, tight SEL (even tough a little flush), good datewheel an Cyclop... Really looks like a good deal
