People are assuming that wrapped means the entire bracelet links on the inner parts are also gold, but it does not appear to be the case.

I wish they have a normal played version... I’ve sent my payment to the legendary BK last week for the BP version. But he confirmed with me that the BP is a no-go, too many issues. Looking into the GMF wrapped now.... ????

Told me the same thing, I was hoping the BP would be ok, but he seems very upfront and I trust his discernment.

What are the issues with the BP?

By reading this whole thread I got the impression that the BP was at least on par with the GMF or even better in same cases like plating of the side of the SELs.

Well that's exactly what I was thinking... BP seemed like a great choice, especially for the price. Plus, people seem to really enjoy 'em. As far as what is wrong with them, BK just said there were too many problems with them so he won't carry them.

I didn't inquire any further because so far he hasn't steered me wrong... limited experience on my end tho lol it's a pretty new hobby for me.

I'm already in a back and forth dialogue with him asking questions about a few other watches... he's a busy guy, but I will eventually ask why he doesn't recommend the BP

Yea... I had the 2816 BP Rootbeer with the ICHS before(if you saw my pics in previous pages), but traded for an AP 15400 RG. I’ve loved that watch so much and I missed it everyday since it was gone.... the quality besides the wrong caliber would’ve easily made the watch a top notch maybe even a super rep... but now with the CHS... I can’t understand why they can screw up like that... Noobs been having the CHS for almost a year now??? Doesn’t seem to have any big complains.... I really want this watch.

I’m asking BK for the wrapped version from GMF now. And BP also has a 2836? With CHS... but MUCH cheaper, asking BK now. I feel like he doesn’t want to carry it, but man I’m dying for this watch... and I travel quite often, so really need the GMT. I don’t know man, I’ll see what he gets back to me tomorrow:’(

But none the less, it’s my first purchase on here with BK the legendary TD, and I trust him 110%, but I can wait for the watch I guess hahah. But really want it back... if he really rejects it, I might get the gold and black dial GMT II with the green gmt hand. Into the old models lately...

I totally feel you, I am completely enamored with the Rootbeer. It would be a stretch for me financially atm but that is a watch I would want in Gen! As for the new BP with CHS, would the insert transition at the 18 bother you? If you want a TT gold GMT, Noob has one that has the links and side SEL fully wrapped. I am considering that one. Not an old model, but figured I'd mention just in case you weren't aware.

Thinking of the GMF gold one tho... I’m honestly not concerned with the SELs... nobody is going to look at the SELs in really life. And the insert transition doesn’t really bother me either... I saw the pics on trusty and puretime, honestly don’t think it’s that much a big deal...

Makes sense. Those are just things that would bother me. But there are other things, like the rehaut for example, that are at the bottom of my list as I don't even look at mine hardly. I just go for what in my mind translates to the most gen-like experience rather than gen-like appearance.

IF people even ask me, I just say if it's real I'd pretend it's fake, if it's fake I'd pretend it's real lol.

BK seems to be cool with GMF. He's recommended Noob, ARF, and GMF to me depending on what I'm going for. As far as a GMT goes, I'm probably just gonna have to hold off unfortunately as I REALLY want the rootbeer... and I want the sides of the middle links and SEL to be rose gold. Or maybe just grab a BP Root Beer anyway and hope I'm happy with it lol

Got my GMF back from Mary after the ICHS bust after a month. Love this watch, but I will probably get the new wrapped bracelet from them and stick it on here:)
