Just a question, is the crystal supposed to sit so high out of the bezel?

All of the new BP/GMF reps have the same case spec and the crystals sit too high. Batman, Pepsi, Bluesy, Root beer. It's one reason I rejected the GMF Bluesy and switched to the Noob. That and the misaligned rehaut issue, which was rhe real dealbreaker for me. Look at the crystal height on the Noob
The left side rehaut engravings are all misaligned, look at the 'x' at 42 minutes on the GMF, it should be at 43. Also spacing is uneven.

I'm actually not sure if the crystal should sit completely flush with bezel like with the submariner.

It’s an easy fix, change gasket + crystal or just gasket.
some of GMF and BP are not that bad when it comes to
crystal height, some are bad.

Not sure. Don't forget that's zoomed up. It doesn't look completely perfect like the others but I would accept that personally.BP here! 6 looks rough, is this normal or just a QC issue?

Seems like you guys are using each other’s pics to post criticisms. But aren’t those just pics from wechat? What value do they hold in a forum like this? This isn’t sarcasm. Just a serious question. I understand picking apart QC and in the wild pics. But are we looking at the wechat/aliexpress/DHgate stuff like it’s legit these days?

What on earth are you talking about? The majority of the pics are either from QC's or the TD's. And surely you should know by now that a lot of the factory 'representatives' communicate via wechat, about their upcoming releases. How do you think the TD's get in contact with factories? Carrier pigeon?

This is among the broken English posts that led to my confusion. After this, the user posted some photos of a watch. I don’t use Wechat, don’t even really know what it is. I did ask for clarification and the above is what I got. Can you see how this appears to be a product listing on a marketplace or an unsanctioned dealer? I still can’t even grasp the concept of a user seeing a post on some sort of public platform where dealers communicate with factories.

To be clear, I wasn’t talking to you. I learned earlier that was a lost cause. Thank you for illustrating that once again. I just quoted you to explain what caused my off the rails post about wechat/aliexpress/etc. Apologies.

robvs Noted on that, as we all know that rep watches are all made by China. Normally the china have alot of those local dealer that and alot of this dealer, have faster information/news/photos from the direct factories. meaning sometimes some new models this dealer in China is already selling the 1st batch as compare to TD. but eventually we all still gets to buy the watches just sooner or later.
I think a good proportion of members don't fully understand how the rep game works. I only really understood it when I was in Bangkok, it was an eye opener for sure. We (members on RWI, RepGeek, etc) make up a small percentage of the buyers via TD's, a lot of the transactions happen in person in a shop or via wechat, direct, etc etc. I fully appreciate our native speaking members who are able to give us heads up on the 'whats coming soon' and new releases. Sometimes we can give feedback on a prototype before it goes into production. But do not underestimate the scale of it all, it's a huge industry that no doubt runs into the hundreds of millions $.
