Just be patient mate. ZF is releasing one and will be 1/5th the price. You'll kick yourself if you buy one now and 10 months later everyone can get one for much sub-1000 bucks.
The other TDs which will release, they won’t have same movement, right? Or is in the first place everybody using Miyota

The ZF picture shown is the same movement as these "custom" RM67, aka the miyota.

Of course this is only my observation. You're free to make your own conclusions based on the images we have.

Suggest you scroll a few pages back to find puretime's image and compare it with the images posted of the "custom" RM67 and do the comparison for yourself instead of taking my word for it.

ZF's case looks a lot more curved and defined on the edges. Also its spring barrel looks larger more like the genuine.
Good observation!

That is due to them making the minute/hour track smaller to cover the movements edges. The custom variant failed at that and you can still see some screw holes underneath the hour-marker-layer.

ZF seems to address that but has to calculate dimensions of minute track and gaskets while maintaining the case dimensions.

Will be interesting to see them solve those issues.

People often underestimate the difficulty of making parts like this to the correct tolerances in quantity. Even if your CAD is perfect, you need to work within process tolerance, and it adds up fast when you've gotta account for a rehaut and a bezel and a crystal and gaskets for all of those. Probably 90% of the work I've done is correctly translating your ideal model into something that can be repeatably made within tolerance.

Hello All!!! Hope everyone is doing great. I'd like to chime in again on this chat as I have had the pleasure of holding and wearing (for about 5 minutes) actual Gens of all the 67-02s. I work in the film industry and we frequently use many Reps for filming but also have Gens. I will tell you that all of you have very valid points being made as to the comparison to the respective Gens. For this particular one, it could be my eyes though, but the circled red stripes in the link below that look more burgandy than red like the crown rubber cover. All should be the same red as the crown bumper. Am I seeing the red incorrectly? Let me know. Thanks

I think you do see the red incorrectly as it’s yellow unless you’re color blind ;)
