isn't it funny how much traction this thread actually gained? everyone hyped.
36gr on the scale is amazing, considering the gen is ~31 ?

I feel like the only reason you would get called out on this is if you’re trying to pass this off as genuine on Instagram or to a dealer. Let’s take this for what it is which is an amazing rep that we would never have seen even a year or two ago when the first moving balance RM055 came out. I have no doubt in the future we will see a more accurate rep potentially even a clone.

Interesting also to notice gen use two tones of grey (or black?) for the plates & bridges. Really pops on this picture:

I think it is a trick to visually increase the deep of the movement. Clever!
Would be fun to try and make a dial mod for this depth

The contrast and depth are indeed very noticable with those images, yes!

If you look at Post #300 you can see the same effect in the rep which is caused by the different reflective properties of the micro sandblasted mid case underneath the brushed bridges on top. Both parts seem to be anodized or even pvd plated to achieve an appearance this dark.

However the top bridge above the balance wheel does not appear as thick as on the gen.
Who knows why that is… maybe the gen appears deeper because of the intricate beveling or anglage all over the neatly machined titanium bridges.

Anyways - awesome effort. Looking forward to a bigger factory to gut this watch haha
