I did hear that QF is an offshoot of whoever started GMF and BPF and it makes some sense too since GMF started this whole tungsten development and have the longest history in the replica game, and QF appeared out of nowhere with the same technology.

But I'm just confused on the whole replica game dynamic, not sure why they created QF completely instead of relying on GMF brand power, maybe they wanted QF to be the specialist in tungsten watches as compared to GMF and BPF and didn't want any of the "baggage" that GMF has.

But back to the point, that I've seen QF lead times for tungsten watches is much better than GMF...... so who knows what the fuck is going on
Almost seems like QF to GMF as Lexus is to Toyota. BPF is like Scion lol

Has anyone confirmed that there is tungsten in the bracelet and not just extra links?

I’m surprised no dealer,at least that I’m aware of, released any kind of statement about these watches. Info that would answer questions about tungsten

Somehow the QF day window looks even more deep than the GMF lol

I’m using a crappy smoke shop scale but here are my findings after receiving my QF DD36 today:

- GMF DD40 link and QF DD36 link both weigh 2.2 grams. So it’s safe to conclude the tungsten is in the case.
- QF is noticeably brighter and more rose in tone compared to my supposedly Flan plated GMF DD40 which appears to be a more orange copper tone. Now I am questioning whether the watch I bought from Timely/Aseem (Flans dealer) is even plated at all… anyway not trying to get off topic here.

The QF plating is gorgeous straight out of the box.

Photo below compares the QF to my DD40 (DD 40 is empty because I’m currently replacing the dial).

- QF DD36 with full links weigh 153.7 grams.

The watch sized to my 6.15 inch wrist weighs 140.7 grams.

- Rotor is quite loud but I don’t mind. I’ll service the watch eventually.

Overall I’m pretty happy with the purpose although it’s only been in my hands for a couple hours. Since I ordered the blue-green dial with rose gold, I can already tell this will need specific clothing colors to compliment it. Otherwise it will look out really out of place fashion-wise.

Oops typo on the weight of the watch above, but the photo shows the weight anyway 🥹. It weighed 154.7 grams with all the included links!

That’s rather impressive! I hear you about matching the watch with clothing colors. I always fret about that. I just matched my bluesy with a royal blue polo shirt

wear that piece in good health.

How is the stock crystal? Is the date magnification correct? QF RG plating seems on point.

Thank you very much for this.
Disappointed to know my non-TD didn’t know what he was talking about when telling me the links were weighted but that’s the risk I took.

Onto a leather strap she goes until I get a weighted bracelet I guess.

@b2ke how long was your QC? I ordered the exact same watch 8 days ago.

No idea what I could match clothes with but I'll probably not wear it out of the house lol.

if one is not planing on plating, any plans on protecting the gold color perhaps with a car sealant or coating? I have one of these in mind I might consider using if I’m totally sure it would be a good idea
