Pelagos ZF vs. V6 - is there a consensus?

The puretime.asia site is simply their test site during their migration, you can't order from it and the site to use will be puretime.watch just as before when they get the migration done. The prices were the same on Puretime prior to shutdown, you can't trust ANYTHING on .asia it is changing constantly as they work on it. Some dealers are charging more for ZF but Puretime WAS the same @ $328 with the free rubber strap.

Damn it just rejected No 3 for bad lume...... never had to reject so many times for any other make.

Really curious you have the same issue with my ordered ZF Pelagos. Just Exactly the same issue. But what is even more curious is that I have my order with other TD (watch-station). They rejected 3 ZF Pelagos in their QC and now they told me that no stock available till next batch is released. Really annoying. I wonder if they are having problems with this model, I wish only are eventual issues cause I want this watch cause is one of my favorites watches.

Given that they are coming to the end of the batch it is likely the ones dealers are getting are the rejects from earlier. I bet that when a factory gets a reject it just sits around until they run out of "good" examples and then they try to unload the previous rejects when that is all they have left.

Well I excepted No4 even though one of the bezel markers was ever so slightly scuffed, in person its really nice the build is awesome.
Pity about that one marker but having lume on the bezel will always get dirty so I can live with it.

It looks like the spacing on the bezel is corrected. Hopefully there are improvement on lume application on the insert as well but that is hard to see in pictures.

Since discovering r-w in october, I have been trying to research and discover which watch I would like to get for my first higher quality rep. Originally, I wanted as near 1:1 as possible, but noticed a few of the "best reps" weren't exactly what I was looking for. I came across this watch on the 2014 list, but was reading here and heard the spacing was a dead giveaway. I was wondering would the ZF V2 be a solid first rep watch. I was considering buying this one as it comes with a free Rubber Strap. Are there any other noticeable flaws?

Still the same issue in this newer version, crocked markers
Is there perhaps a side by side comparison? Also, would you say that flaw is big enough not to warrant paying that price and purchasing as my first rep? I do understand 1:1 doesn't exist, but I don't know how this compares to other quality reps in terms of its flaws.

I think it is one of the best reps. I am thinking in buying one and put a swiss eta new movement inside the watch, if possible

ZF V2 crown guard is improved. Bezel is also improved with the gap between 3 0 narrower but not quite GEN like. To me, the BIGGEST improvement seems to be the Date, right font albeit too bold.

This might not be the correct thread, so perhaps you could PM me, but if you think this is one of the best reps? what are the others that you think are comparable in terms of quality?

I see, i'm still learning alot and as I mentioned before I understand there is no such thing as 1:1, but will someone be able to clearly point out the flaws if I was wearing it. Or is this more of a thing you can only see by a detailed examination (side by side perhaps)?

I don't think anyone would be able to tell if you were to wear it in normal situation. Posting a close up photo on the internet, on the other hand, is like begging to be called out. At the end of the day, this ZF V2 is superb REP, you should get it.

thanks for helping me out. with the detailed response. I have no intentions on flaunting it, but I didn't wanna be called out or anything either. This looks pretty good to me, even with the side by side. I can only notice the spacing. Anything you recommend checking for when I ask for QC pics from trusted dealer on this particular model?

I have ordered one v2, seems to have a really good markers or at least not as much as crocked as previous V1... In fact looks really good to me.

But you should add to those flaws the incorrect position of the text "swiss made", in particular the word "made" clearly bad aligned... Despite of that I think it is great great rep, I really got surprised in my QC pics.

I still reckon the V6F is the best one out there at the moment as long as the QC is up to scratch. I've got mine on a decent NATO strap at the moment...
