Here's my modded V6F/KW...

IMO this is a massively underrated rep. I modded the bezel assembly for a tighter rotation and it now feels very solid. It's a shame they suffer from inconsistent QC with dial markers - I got lucky with this one.

It's currently running at +0.7s / day over the past week - amazing. Not sure I'd be happy paying £2.5K for the ETA-powered gen, but I love the fact that there are very few of them out there in the wild. A true WIS toolwatch [emoji3].

Could not agree more. I have both the zf and the v6, and I love them both. There is absolutely nothing bling about this thing. It just looks and feels like a truly purpose-built watch. I think both the v6 and the zf is one of the best reps around.

Agreed. The Pelagos makes a refreshing change from the ubiquitous Submariner and all of its various homages and copies. It feels like everything is designed for a purpose rather than for show.

I'd consider buying the new in house model if it wasn't for the proverbial essay written on the dial (5 lines of text Tudor what were you thinking?!). I'm not sure I can pull it off with a suit either which is a bummer as I wear a shirt and tie daily.

Out of interest which one would you say is the better rep out of the ZF and V6F? The ZF bezel markings are a bit of a tell but the build quality is supposed to be superior...

Hard to say, really. But I think I would prefer the v6 because of the overall appearance. Beautiful crown-guards in particular. As for the insert on the zf, I think much of it depends on if you are looking at the dial dead-on straight and the fact that you are aware of the issue. The insert isn't bad at all. I think both of mine are pretty equal when it comes down to quality. As for the weight ( not an issue for me ), the are both way too light v6 about 135 grams, zf 170 grams and the genuine somewere around 190-195 grams. Should point out that the lume is better on the zf. I use my watches basically as timekeepers, but for those that care, - the bezel-action differs some.

Edit: They weigh aprox. 130 grams and 145 grams. Genuine with the Eta weighted aproximately 155 grams.

Watch came in two weeks, pretty fast, and with free rubber straps!

Ok i'm now sold on one of these just have to make my mind up on which one, leaning more to the ZF for lume and weight though.

I agree if I was a professional diver, the latest version Pelagos would be my watch of choice. It seems to have actually been designed for the purpose rather than just for show and it's got that rarity factor to it too (I'm yet to see one in the wild).

I'm digging the new in house movement version, but did we need an essay on the dial?!

Yep, agree totally.....Just 'Pelagos' and '500m-1640ft' would have done!

I just got my ZF from Lucy yesterday and the first thing I did was weigh it. It came in at 152 grams with all links. I can live with the bezel numbers and crown guards. The weight, lume, and quality titanium is well worth it! I wore it all night and day and can say that the lume lasted all night, and quality is truly amazing! I timed it and it is +10 sec a day!

I have owned lots of gens and replicas over the years and this watch has to be in the top 5 watches ever. Also the AR is really amazing. Sometimes I look down and can't see a crystal at all. I would highly recommend this replica to anyone as a first dive replica!

Damn, I had my eyes set on a Pam but you have me doubting my decision now. Thanks for making it even harder to decide which one....

I love my ZF Pelagos, it doesn't get much wrist time but after taking it out today I think that will change. It's surprisingly comfortable for its size, and the dial is magnificent in the sun. It has a very nice depth to it, thanks to the dish around the snowflake indices. I would like to get a V6F insert, and have it installed when this gets serviced. The spacing isn't a big deal to me and isn't painfully noticeable in person, but if I can easily make a watch more accurate I will definitely take the opportunity.

I think it depends on your wrist size. I used to wear PAMs too, but eventually realized they were just too big for a 6.75" wrist. I think 42mm or 43mm is max for this wrist size. So this size watch is perfect for this wrist size. Also, the PAM's can be really heavy if you wear on a bracelet. Because this is titanium, it wears much lighter and comfortable. I'm like most Watch Enthusiasts, where I want a watch to feel like a watch, and not feel like a toy. That is why I went with the ZF, it has a Stainless Steel case back, and really adds weight to the watch. In fact, when I was timing it, I took the case back off, and was amazed at how light it was. It felt like a toy. But after putting the case back, back on, it really felt a good heft. So to me, it doesn't feel like a rep. Anyway, hope that helps you decide.
