Have contacted toro and he replied to send him a picture, i sent him the picture and now nothing again, i think im just going to return for a refund just a real bad experience with him from start to finish, really shocked as he gets really good reviews here, i always use PC who is more pricey but is immediate with responses and any problems get dealt with in a flash.
Will be putting this down to a bad experience.:picard:

is it possible to have the case re drilled to make it line up so the pins will screw in without having to screw the hell out of it?
how much are we talking? also is there anyway to get the deep scratch out ?

You could fit spring bars to it mate, as for the scratch cape cod cloth might do is its not too deep, can send you one if needed.
Would it not be better to return for an exchange

Hi Fordy, I've just received the PAM from Toro yesterday. My itchy hands decided to unscrew the straps just to check out if everything is okay. Unscrewing was perfect.

However. It took me almost 15 minutes to install and screw back the strap properly. I just couldn't seem align it with the hole. But maybe it's just me as this is my first PAM. LOL!! But at last I managed to do it and the screws went in smoothly.

Me too at first. Push it in until it stops, you will have 2mm still sticking out now, then move the strap around a bit, jiggle the bar, you will find that it will happily settle in the recieving screw hole after a bit, you can tell as it has gone in a bit more, then carefully use a screwdriver to finally screw it home.

Be careful with the blade of the screwdriver, go real slow and be very gentle - pretend its a nuclear bomb and you are 007 defusing it...
