since there is always two steps forward, one step back in chinese rep manufacturing it has to be said that the lume application on the dial is very weak compared to the hands and overall not comparable to our known super reps like 111 or the H-Factory 000 or 005. Lume is not at all super rep like. I think they get there slim application due to reducing the total amount of lume material used instead of changing the whole manufacturing process.
The lume is indeed weak. However, it is not obvious unless we are looking out for it.
Put it another way, I have only really noticed the lume, caught me by surprise because I wasn't watching out for it, when they are vastly superior. An example I can think of are the Maranez watches. Even Seiko can't match them. The transition from a sunny driveway into the basement carpark, the Maranez shine like torches. For other so-called superior lume, tbh I never had any impression of them.
I don't own a gen zero so I am not able to comment on how good the lume is on the gen. Sausages are supposed to be better than sandwiches. So this is one area where the factories should continue to work at.
Side by side pictures are useless if the shooting conditions are different.

Lighting conditions are obviously different, what more if the camera used, the exposure, etc.?
Actually if you even check the Noob picture with a simple eyedropper tool, take the brightest area from one of the markers and compare it to the color of the hands, the hands are of a lighter color as well, same as XF. So the XF 000 is not any worse, nor better than the Noob 000 offering.
