It should be bulging up a bit right? Hence the name sausage dial. I’m supposed to get mine tomorrow, I’ll try to take some macro shots when it gets here
It’s out for delivery so it will be here today sometime. Were you able to get your watch?
That looks incredible! Congratulations on your pickup.

Best I could do with the macros, was having a hard time focusing. However you can see that the lume is just barely filling the channels on the dial. Some of the markers you can just see the edge of the dial cutout, but only really close. The markers are filled evenly and looks great at normal distances.

The dial looks really good to me. The markers are nicely defined and crisp. I had an older H fac 005 and the markers on that were more sausagey and not as crisp. The markers were fatter than these for sure. Thanks for the extreme close-up photos @WatchestoPlay and @groot. I knew what I was looking for but did not want to in any way influence the photos by posting this in advance.
Gen vs Rep Sausage Lume
As you can see, the lume on the XF PAM000 appears to be applied more like the gen where the lume is filled only up to a certain point and lies almost flat in the recessed cutouts. The old sausage dial ironically looked like what it sounded like, which was, a sausage applied on the dial. The rep factory might have interpreted the name this way and so the early sausage dials were unfortunately inaccurate. So it's either the cutouts are deeper now in the new dial allowing for the lume to settle more uniformly in the recessed area, or the factories have come up with a slight variation on the lume mix to allow it to spread and not bulge, or both.
Anyway, this confirms what I hoped would be the case, that the dial is indeed using a gen-like lume sausage application. I hope the restoration of the supply of the XF PAM000 means that the factory will start working on other sausage models like the PAM005, PAM104, PAM088 for example.

From what I can see in my macros as well as under a loupe, the line application looks rounded in the centre with the edge below the dial recessed in the cutouts:
Regardless, I think it’s well executed and will be gunning for the 005 if they ever decide to follow up with one

Yes, I saw that slight bulge in your pictures but nothing extreme and there was still a recess on the side.

It looks like the hands might be slightly lighter. But i think it’s only noticeable at full charge.
