PAM 508 V6F - and other versions - [ QC pics allowed ]

The watch offered by PC is DLC'ed stainless steel with different price level. There are differences between this (supposedly KW PAM 508) and V6F "real ceramic":
- different pin on CG
- different internal shape of CG and a roller (!) on version provided by PC
- different engravings on bezel (i.e. thinner 15,30 & 45 engravings on Angus' version)
- different pearl (uglier on ceramic version)
- different 5 minutes indexes on bezel (a bit too big on Angus' version)

I found differences and asked PC about it. At first Joshua / PC expected this to be the same watch (KW=V6F) and he stated that the price is so nice ($378) since it is just DLC'ed stainless steel. I asked him "what about ceramic version" and pointed to obvious differences between his photos and Angus' ones. He returned to me with "I will check that...".
We will see what the future brings...

KW and V6Fac, whatever is the reason, are releasing the same watches lastly. See PAM 438-441 ceramic, PAM 389, PAM 531… These watches are exactly the same whatever is the maker on catalogues. No doubt about that
But in both reps of PAM 508 showed are obvious the differences, as said by Polonus.
For these new reps of PAM 508 it is clear that there are two different versions:
-V6Fac ceramic
-KW SS+DLC coating.
The movement in both watches is clearly the same: KW P.9000 inverted layout decorated A7750.
KW is not making all watches in V6Fac and this KW PAM 508 could be an example.
Anyway I don’t like this KW version. Having a ceramic rep, SS+DLC makes non sense. Markers seem really inaccurate. I don’t speak about colours, because PClones pics are bad for this matter.
Leaving aside the pearl, ceramic version seems much better. And I hope we will see a pearl improvement in final batches

and KW version has a roller in CG lever... which is wrong obviously. Sead's 508 has roller in lever, too. So - DLC'ed SS....
The lugs' side where the lug bolts are screwed in are different, too.

I seriously doubt Sead's version is CERAMIC. The inner corners of the lugs joining the case are very squared for a ceramic. CG chamfered corners are different from Ceramic version. The lever has a roller and the roller support is very little, ceramic cannot support this weakness without getting broken (see the lever of real ceramic versions). Besides the cushion shape of the case in Sead is different from ceramic version and inaccurate.
IMO watch shown by Sead is not ceramic and it is different from the ceramic watch released by V6Fac

...but I got reply from Joshua - current watch presented as KW ceramic is a flawed prototype, corrected version should be available in 2-3 weeks.

really hope they release the kw 508 with seagull just as they just did with the 389. assuming it's possible of course

I take anything that the twins say with a grain of salt (well more like a kilo :lol: ). Did they say what the flaw was?
It is possible, provided the maker can get a supply of the ST2555. That's the reason why KW switched from the ST2555 to A7750 from V1 to V2 of the PAM388.

Pics on kuvarsit website are very nice as usual.
I hope they fix that pearl, because I so love the bezel and CG on this rep that I might find myself buying it in any case!
Regarding the ST2555, I hope they will use it, but I'm afraid that they will not. Just as they did with the bronzo they might want to sell as many expensive pieces as they can

I'm not clear what's the issue with the pearl in the final version that Pure Time has shown in their video...? Looks much better than the initial pics on their site.

Pearl looks slightly better on the vid but is rarely on focus. Check min 1.04: the edge of the pearl close to the pearl cup looks "dirty", grainy, just as in puretime's pics.

im with you on that kilo! this 508 looks like a truly awesome rep, really hope they fix the pearl. and I really hope they use the st2555 movenent in it soon like they just did with the 389, which I should be ordering anytime soon
