Enjoy ur new watch Peter. Do u know if u are getting the cracked black strap? I actually dig it a lot. It starts out dryer than the desert which is prime for pre distressing it. Once u take a nail to it or even some sand paper, it becomes so much better. I ended up using some Obenaufs to get some moisture into after my pre distressing. That treatment also darkened the under part of the leather which will make for some nice contrast. I plan on treating it a few more times before allowing it to do its own thing.

I also bought a distressed brown strap from Panatime today and will add the dlc buckle that came with the rep strap. Hoping it matches well because Panatime has maybe the worst photo's on the planet.

Thanks Fake,

Yeah it should be the cracked black strap. I want that one.

Cheers for the tips. I heard that in the beginning these feel like crap but after some use and moisture they feel great.

Hey Fake,

I just received mine from PureTime and my CG Pin is really loose where when opened, i can move it side to side (toward the face of the watch and back of the watch) and it whiggles quite a bit.

It's the V6F version and was wondering if you or anyone else that purchased this watch has experienced the similar issue with the CG lever??

The pearl that everyone has been complaining about on the other hand looks great...

Pics on kuvarsit website are very nice as usual.
I hope they fix that pearl, because I so love the bezel and CG on this rep that I might find myself buying it in any case!

Regarding the ST2555, I hope they will use it, but I'm afraid that they will not. Just as they did with the bronzo they might want to sell as many expensive pieces as they can ;)

Just wondering if you have tested the CG Pin on the V6F version. Just received mine from Angus and the CF Pin is pretty loose unlike PAM243 (Noob) from PureTime or my Gen Panerai

Do you mean it is not tight when it's closed? If so this has been hit and miss in my reps. My 508 shuts tight.

Actually when it's open. Gen and other versions of good PAM reps I've received have been very secure open or closed. The PAM508 V6F version I've received is very loose and where I can make tiny 360 circles moving it around when it's open. lol

that can't be normal right?

No, doesn't sound right. Most likely there's a missing gasket inside the lever hole where the pin goes through.
If you're brave and careful you could try fixing it yourself with a small piece of those plastic tubes that are wrapped around electric cables.

Thinking about it, I would be too scared to try and risk to crack the ceramic. I would leave it as it is or ask my TD if there's any chance to source a new CG, if it's unusable.

Mine didnt have that wiggle you are describing but it didnt close with much friction like my 359 or my 286. I wonder if that had to do with the difference between SS & ceramic. I am sure the Gen's ceramic likely happens with some friction when opening & closing

hmmm, thanks for that feedback. that actually makes me feel a lil better. Unlike other PAM SS reps, there's absolutely no friction at all. And just looking at it when it's closed, there really isn't much space between the CG and the pin. I'm just wondering if other people's PAM508 V6F's are also like this.

Anyone else with PAM508 V6F care to comment?

No worries. Its inmportant to use a nail or something to pick at the cracked top layer before any oiling. Helps that its dry. Once i did that i sanded it down with some fine sand paper to even out the top layer a bit. After that I treated it which also sealed the leather and made it less likely to flake but also softened it up at an amazing rate.. I actually enjoyed this one

Hi everyone, just received QC pics from sead1999. Im new so opinions are welcome. Thank you. Am I too picky, bezel looks cloudy (is that real ceramic), also the number 4 of 45 min has some flaws and also the pearl which I guess is known issue?

Hello Guys,

Would you please help me decide which PAM 508 to purchase. I wonder between the KW with Seagull non inverted movement: https://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/215141-pm-508kw-full-ceramic-seagull-movement-309
and the ZF 508 with A7750 movement. I am in communication with Sead1999. He sent me some QC pictures of the newest PAM 508 ZF he got:

In my personal opinion, pearl looks really uniform and nice, but having in mind that I have not seen the original watch, just images on the net, I cannot decide if pearl is supposed to look so light or it should be darker. On the KW it looks a bit different.
I am in deliberation which watch to purchase-KW Seagull or the ZF. KW with Seagull seems to be more accurate and perhaps more reliable, on other side, ZF seems to have a better pearl. In this regard, any opinion will be highly appreciated
Thank you all!!!

Really dig that look Fake!!!
I tried sanding it with two different papers but all it did was removing the shine on top of it. Couldn't reach the underside for the cool light color contrast.
Did you use a nail to remove the cracks and then sand it a bit? Would you mind sharing some how to do you do it? Thanks!!!

Seads pics are not the greatest. I think he uses a iPhone5... atlas thats what my computer says when i save his pics and load them onto my macbook. ignore the cloudy dial/crystal. it will be clear when you receive it. AS for the quality of your watch you will have to make the decision on your own if it is up to par or your standards. Compare it to a Gen side by side with pics online and your pics here. Ask if he could use different lighting or a pic not under the light he is using in your qc pics. My opinion...the 30 marker looks off a bit but that could be due to the angle of the camera. Really research this thread and make the best conclusion. Maybe Ale can chime in here on this. Im no expert but have read the forums a ton. So my opinion is subpar. Goodluck

It's the same watch irregardless of the TD you use, so it's only the respective TD's camera skills that are causing the differences. The ZF version of the PAM508 is also classified as a super rep, same as the KW version. ;)
