Yes the lever snap shuts against the crown and it seems that its closed correctly. Which cream tarnish remover did you use? Please apologize my really simple english language.
Greets from Germany.

watchmaninpa: Thank you. You mean that the color settles in without preparing the furnace? And if you are in Germany....I will invite you to dinner...:punk:

voxx: But how can I test it reg. waterproof without damaging the watch?

I wish that it turns into bronze sometime.......this is all I want.

Ok......and you will be invited too for a traditional german dinner.....

I will not return it to sead.

Thanks for the invite... I will keep it in mind next time I am in Germany. and NO.... no reason to return it to Snead. The watch is fine.... just give it a chance to settle into it's color.
the bronze formula is the SAME bronze formula that the gen is. SO.... even if you were to buy a gen.... you would likely run into the same thing with the color.

you can use that polish Voxx mentioned.... but....really ... mine looked just like yours does now. I cleaned it with ketchup.... on a que tip.... and rubbed good to get the dark tarnish off.
wiped it clean with a warm damp soft cloth to get the ketchup off.... then I just let it be. It has been a few weeks and the color is coming along fine.
I think with bronze... patience is the key.

maybe someone here has more of an idea on how to get the more coppery color out. Maybe that polish Voxx mentioned will do the trick.
Anyway... calm down... your watch is fine.... nothing wrong with the metal.... and certainly no reason to return it.

Only a watch smith with the right equipment can test it unfortunately ...
Your watch looks fine in that last pic .. the color looks perfect.
I wouldn't touch it all.

My .02, I would contact WBK in the TD section. He can find what you need. Ships fast. I am in CONUS and he shipped really fast. Be specific, I got the less expensive replica. If you want the nicer gen like version, let him know.

It is neither useful nor possible to get comparisons of the real colour by the pics

That's absolutely true!

Today I posted 2 different pictures of my Bronzo, both under same lightning condition, tried to manage white balance and couldn't reproduce the real color though.

The third one is the closest to real life appearance.

SOMETHING ABOUT PLATED ZF…..OR NOT PLATED :)

I know there have been a lot of talking about plated ZF 382, some of it originating from me.
I bougth a ZF V4 in the beginning of the year and it rather quickly looked like the bronze was wearing off on the edge of the bezel - I tried lemon, Heinz and Brasso.. but nothing could remove it. Finally my TD agreed to take it back to have the bezel changed… it looked like this when I shipped it
cHYLRPe.png

After 3 months I got it back….. with the same bezel….I was sure they had plated it again - the pearl had been taken off and there was some deep scratches around it - and it was reinserted very poorly.. My TD promised it was solid so I took the chance and wet-sanded the scratches with grit 1200 until they were gone… and no metal showed.. As the pearl was out i took a very small drill and made a small hole in the bezel under the pearl - bronze all the way.
Now it looks like this
AaPANnd.jpg

To show what the wet sanding can do it still looked like steel were the bezel meets the case

And here after 2 min. of wet sanding

So whatever I said earlier about ZF being plated I take it back. I will say that it sure as he.. looks like steel when this oxidation or whatever it is happens, and it does not rub off easily..but off it gets - using the right tools :)

Best regards
Chr
