batpsao, the Connery Rolex 6538 as appeared in Goldfinger and Thunderball was not worn on a NATO strap, it was a 16 mm strap like the ones in the pics below. In Dr No and From Russia with Love the same watch was worn on a chocolate crocodile strap.

Dang, that is a huge difference!
I just got my video of mine, and accepted. I was worried about stuttering on the second hand, but the sweep looked amazing in the video.
Now i might have to go shopping for gen nato, the difference is HUGE!
Where did you get yours?
I got mine at an Omega boutique. I think they'll sell you whatever they happen to have on hand. Like if they happen to have a Spectre in inventory I bet they'd sell it like any other.
Now there's another thing I must point out. On the wrist, the feeling of the two straps is indistinguishable. This is not the diff you get between one leather strap and another. In a blind test i would be hard pressed to tell the diff without using my fingertips.
But anyway to complicate matters further, my bracelet is due to arrive any day now. Ah, champagne problems...

Ahhhh I always tell myself that I don't need the gen strap but when i see pictures like this it makes me think twice! Looks great
^^^^Yeah the difference is HUGE between gen and rep. I change my mind every second day but I think this will be my first rep
Question: If I were to grab a gator strap, would I need any other hardware, or can I use the nato hardware? Not really an expert obviously!
The rep nato feels coarse and itches whilst the Omega nato feels almost silk like
My bracelet is being sent out this week from Toro. It wasn't available with the original order but it's on it's way, great customer service.

The only update for a possible next version will be a polished crown. I don't think they will botter getting the dial texture and the bezel ring right

have you guys seen the new 'de-luxe' nato straps at timefactors? they dont have the bond pattern yet, but look at the weave compared to the gen omega strap....looks pretty close in the pics.

Yeah! fabric looks great. It has that car seatbelt "feeling" as omega gen has.
Let's see if they are willing to make "bond colors".
