not to veer off topic, but I have custom tungsten 2.0 daytona being made by him right now and this makes me a bit eerie. Placed the order April 1st, and told about 15 days. Its been full 30 and no QC of dials or anything yet. I was deciding to get a 5712 or 5711 built by him but now makes me second guess slightly.

Mine was a heavily customised watch with Gen parts etc. RB dial. Buff hands SW Date wheel and day wheel. Gen crystal. Paid for polishing etc. Now the watch looks good but as I said I got it half broken and I am skeptical if all the parts I asked for were used in the watch or he just send me a stock watch. I am very skeptical to be honest with you.
Really good actually. He didn’t send any qc pics before the finished watch despite of asking him but the watch turned out great, also great price and communication
Qc was also sent after 14 days. Bit unfortunate because of the backplates but I will probably just order new backplates alone. The ones ome uses aren’t the best anyway
Yeah at a personal level I like him and we joke around but he leaves a lot to be desired for as far as work is concerned. If I’m paying that kind of money for a watch, I like to have photographs before the modification starts, during the modification process and complete Watch after modification I get none of that with them

You also somehow got the power reserve hand replaced with one that's slightly too long compared to gen when you had the pinion modded? I only realized that when I got my watch in hand and had to pay a local watchmaker to trim it down.
I asked about that hand being replaced because its also a bit thicker than the other one but he said it was delivered by ome like that
Or maybe its not possible to have the stock hand when fixing the pinion cap but i will do the same with sending it to a watchmaker
Can you share your build? I have seen your other posts as well and looks like we are both going for the exact same watches. I want the 5712 and the APO26240. Mind share roughly where you local watch smith is located?
Any reason you went with the OME if you got he mods done? Whynmot stock PPF and then mod?
Because buying all mods alone would cost like 2x more. Cnc midcase is already couple hundred alone
How much is popup charging you for the pinion caps mod? I'm interested in buying the OME version. Also question, how come you opted to go with SW dial, I thought the OME dial was already good.

I had OME base + SW dial + Tiffany Stamp + Pinion mod. I'm UK based so used a UK based watchmaker.
120$ for all pinion caps and sw dial is closer to gen, ome is completely fine but sw has almost the same color as gen
