@Strodda - it would be amazing if you could order a few of these and sell them with your mod, kinda like the way prof does. Just food for thought. I would be ready to order![]()
The best way I have found of fixing the markers is to push them into the holes and apply a tiny spot of glue into the hole on the rear of the dial. This then holds the foot in place. Have done this loads of time and it works fine. Glue anywhere near the front of a dial has been a recipe for disaster where I'm concerned and I've messed a couple of dials up because of this.I know it is not the same thing but I fixed a crooked numeral myself on a 5001..gray sunburst dial
I started by gently pushing against the numeral with a toothpick with increasing force - at one point the numeral just popped out - in my case it was the "I". I noticed that there were two feet under the one and corresponding drilled holes on the dial.
Now the holes are there and that is the source of the issue - the holes are not drilled properly. What I did was to cut-off one of the feet from the numeral and pushed the remaining foot back-into the dial with the correct orientation. The old hole was still covered under the numeral and was not visible.
So far the numeral is in place - even after using the watch quite a bit. I am thinking if I also used a bit of glue it would have been a more reliable solution but I did not because I was worried about it spilling over and ruining the dial...
Haha, I'll get on all that. Buy a bunch of watches, relume them and move to Eu... anything else?
Got a few QC pics from a very popular TD, I don't know if this is normal since I'm new to the rep game, but they send me some pretty low quality pics at around 80kb, and only one pic of the dial (as shown). Am I really expected to confirm a watch based on a 0.5 MP image that is not even a close-up of the dial? I replied back asking for higher quality images but I just find that ridiculous. Someone please tell me if I am being unreasonable here.

Why do you think they are looking lame?
Wonder if you can PM your rep friendly watchsmiths details? I'm in london and have 2 watches that are out of action because i can't find anyone to fix them. Would really appreciate itHey guys, first of all sorry for digging out again this thread again but I spent some time searching for the pictures of the complete Tear Down of 5009 Petit Prince version. All I'd like to know and see is the reverse of the dial with the ZF's default numeral pin position and orientation on the dial, I have my 5009 PP serviced now by our REP Friendly Londoner Watch Smith (and I have to admit, this gentleman is just amazing with his work hands down)
Asked him after he finish with servicing my watch whether he will be able to perform some service related with fixing number 0 which is slightly crocked by 0.1mm but still bothers me when I look at the dial. After vetting he tried to explain me this is probably close to impossible because of the fixed position of the numerals either there is a high risk of damaging the sunburst.
I tried to find the source pictures (here on RWI) of the disassembled 5009 Petit Prince watch with detailed pictorial but without luck, if there is anyone who can help me with this because after transition into new forum I lost my visual orientation on the web and I can't remember where it could be.
Probably it was from relume process from @Strodda or @Domi but I can't remember it well...
Thanks in advance any help will be much appreciated.
Those are two different models of watch you have shown. The position of the days writing on yours is correctly located for that model.
