Too keep this thread alive, I made a small comparison between a genuine IWC Ref. 500908 dial (always right) and a ZF v2 dial (always left):
Pros:
+printing is quite spot on on the V2 dial
+lume is good on the v2 (better than V1) in the first 5 minutes
+overall a nice dial if you don't have the gen dial directly next to it
Cons:
-color is a little bit purple on the ZF under sunlight and not as deep blue as on the gen
-lume has a yellow tint on the ZF and is not as fine and not as bright and long lasting as on the gen (as will all rep lume)
-rep dial already has reflections on small angles whereas the gen still shines blue even at big angels
-sunburst on the rep is coarser / not as fine as on the gen
Some lume shots:
(I will put up both dials and gen+rep hands in the sales section in the coming days, as I already have a BP LPP).
Part 2 of the rep vs. gen comparison - hands (gen always on the right side):
Pros:
+Shape / length of the ZF hands is nearly identical to the gen hands. Only the center seconds hand isn't as defined in the middle as the gen
+ lume color is nearly identical as the gen, only a lot weaker
Cons:
-Lume filling has a very steril white compared to the superluminova on the gen hands which has a warmer touch (reminds me of the lume on the ZF BB58 vs gen which has the similar issue)
-Lume brightness is not evenly contributed non the rep hands
- As always: lume brightness is much weaker on the rep and only lasts some minutes
