I saw also your other pic at the sticky thread. Nice strap you have - Is it gen?
Hey guys seriously about to pull the trigger soon on this beautiful beast! Kinda scared though after hearing a lot of QC problems arising as of late though... Can anybody chime in on the dial issue?

From reading the posts from the start of the release just before CNY till now, I think the qc issues can be summed up as follows: 1) the watch was rushed by ZF to get the watch out before CNY - the rush resulted in a number of reoccurring qc items like chipped dials, angled numerals, and extremely poor lume and numerous movement issues. 2) Post CNY, the quality increased as supply started to catch up or exceed the demand 3) the quality started to decrease again as the demand for the watch picked up.
I think someone else stated that ZF quality is not the best, overall I have found this to be true. For example, the YL 5001 was much better than the ZF 5001 for quality. In my case, my Big Pilot Prince has a ding on the dial and the movement ran intermittently. Strodda fixed the dial and found a loose screw that was affecting the movement and then did his first fabulous lume job. In short, if you like the watch buy it and if you end up with issues not evident in the qc pics get them fixed but expect that there will be some issues and perhaps you will get lucky.

I experienced the same low quality pics during my previous purchase from Ryan and eventhough i asked for hi res pics, i just received different angles . I think this is on purpose on their side and i can understand it from a point of view since in this way less "issues" (Issues that actually you will never care once you receive the watch) are spotted. if any major issues you should be able to find them in this resolution too.
Eventhough i was satisfied with the service received , it was disappointing that i had to ask for a timegrapher pic. during my qc. It should be included from the first batch of pics. At the end of the day, you must proof that the watch dispatched is working properly.
Got a few QC pics from a very popular TD, I don't know if this is normal since I'm new to the rep game, but they send me some pretty low quality pics at around 80kb, and only one pic of the dial (as shown). Am I really expected to confirm a watch based on a 0.5 MP image that is not even a close-up of the dial? I replied back asking for higher quality images but I just find that ridiculous. Someone please tell me if I am being unreasonable here.

Why don't everyone just buy YL version instead then? Much safer than having to gamble with probabilities..
I received my '16 today and it's DOA, very disappointingWill open it up tomorrow and have a look inside.
Mine didn't work when I first received it but gave a couple slaps on my palm and it has worked perfectly ever since
