A new version (V2) of the LPP IW500908 from ZF has just been released. The major improvement is the "flush superlumed application on the dial".

Hard to believe that the major update for V2 is mostly to do with the lume. They could have gotten it right the first time around :bang:

Is this V2 version available in RG too? i.e. 500909? Couldn't find one on Toro or Intime or Puretime

Just received my Big Pilot Le Petit Prince IW500908 ZF V2. Was hoping that the QC problems from ZF won't be an issue. Turns out the QC pictures from TD were great and I got the watch within a week from making the order. Very satisfied with the quality of the watch.

The date changes correctly at 12 o'clock. The sunburst dial is beautiful and everything nicely aligned. The only real difference I can tell from this rep and the gen that I tried at AD was the crown. The rep crown is kinda pressed in and recessed while the gen crown has the logo popping out. The le petit prince engraving in the case back is slightly different from gen in terms of feel but it's very close. The leather strap and clasp are very close to the gen that I tried at AD too.

Definitely a worthy buy considering the gen is 40 times the price of the rep.

Nice, looks great. Been on the fence for a while now with LPP, both SS and RG. With all the reports of QC problem Ive been hesitant.

I think the TD is important. I trusted mine to pick out the best piece available so the QC was fine. I did ask for additional shots from different angles just to be sure.

The strap feels good and the clasp works like the gen. I tried the gen in AD so I'd say the feel is very close.

Not sure about RG but I think this SS version is spot on.

Awesome combo. Where do u get this strap?

Am waiting out the factory holidays to purchase this watch.

Hope qc would be a smooth process. Any key factory to look for apart form the date wheel and markers?
