The best Tourby movement is Seagull ST-8000, hands down. But it's expensive one, and it's low beat. Cage size - 13mm, off center hands.
#2 in my book is Hangzhou 3300, that we can see in early JLC reps, hi-beat, 16mm cage, off center hands.
Liaoning already stopped to make tourbies. Guangzhou Dixmont make ST-8000 under license, and 2 in-house tourbies, one manual, one auto.
Shanghai... Well, it looks, like cheap "open heart" movements, because of that bar holder across the cage... Meh...
ST-8002, auto version of ST-8000, same construction.

The AATOS Tiago is a nice Genuine watch for under $500 that uses the PTS-3310. It looks remarkably similar to a Seagull ST-8000. I may pick one up.

SS??? cmon... we all know you love your gold :p

Yes, but RG plating for daily wear is not durable! This watch would be for in office wear and after a few months the case back will be through...

That is why I recased all my RG HBBs with RG ceramic plates. And after 2 years wearing... NO ISSUES!

Not entirely correct. First - it's Hangzhou 3310. PTS Resources is just a trading company in Hong Kong, who often gives their own names to movements, that they buy from differenr factories.

And second... How it looks remarcably similar to ST-8000?

Oops Luth, I thought your second schematic picture was the ST-8000 but I realized its the 3300.. That would explain the similarities lol

The 3310 looks like it has the day/night and GMT(Second timezone) hand whereas the 3300 doesn't. I thought your picture of the 3300 was the ST-8000 so I got confused :p

I was confused too, from the beginning, so, I had to reshuffle all my Hangzhou catalogs.

Hi tribe,

those babies are soon coming to daddy...

I needed additional simple yet elegant tourbys, i initially wanted black dials but , the FM that i liked was not avail, i also hesitated with the Cartier Ballon bleu white dial and JLC porcelain crane bleu one ( i think i will eventually get them...)

anyway some raw qc pics, will post better ones when at home and dressed on proper straps... cheers and thanks again for advices ;)
