Sincere apologies. It's 6 am and I am using my phone. It is a Breguet not an fm. Is that Breguet available as a rep?
Sh1t that's a very smooth looking piece. Looks like I have to save up for another tourby. I really love it. Any idea of dollars?
By the way. The reason I'm awake is because our overnight low was 29. That's 88 Fahrenheit to those who prefer that system.
Serious cash but I kinda get it. To me, it's one of those watches that is 'if you think you can, you can' very classy.
Well... for tourbys.. there are 3 very popular ones seen in reps RIGHT NOW..
DG tourbys are the ones with a very big cage.. (think JLC tourbillon).. these are right at 600$
Shanghai manual winders are what you see in the VC and also this breguet. these are right around 800$
And finally shanghai auto's are what you see in the breguet 5 day PR. These are right around 900$
Then you get into skeletonized ones like the hublot skeleton tourby which uses the DG tourby movement but is 800$ due to cost of skeletonizing.

But most important of all, are these any good? Which are better? Which to stay away from!
They are all equally reliable from the data that we know of. In general, any long term knowledge of pieces breaking will be hard to obtain. Especially since people don't often wear these tourbys.
IMO, the shanghai manual and DG are the two to go for. I only do not like the Shanghai automatic because you should never wind your tourbillon to full PR. This will shorten the life of your watch.

@cwazy: Mate, how accurate is the breguet 5day pr compared to gen? you think those hands in the tourby can be replaced by other hands from a breguet rep that has a pointed tip?
other than the size difference, I think the rep is pretty good. very good detailing on that watch.
True, the rep is 42mm (?) and the gen is a very small 39mm. I handeled the gen on Monday = stunning in all aspects!
Tried to find more info on the Breguet but haven't found anything yet - if someone could provide a link I'd appreciate it...
