I did torture test of my rep PP yesterday. I went to pool, swam for 2 hours, spent 15 minutes in dry sauna with the watch on my wrist and then put a drop of cold water on the sapphire - no condensation visible after over minute Got back to the pool - still no condensation. Sounds enough water resistant for me

Well i am now officially in the club... my ploprof from lay arrived today. This thing is a beast... I love it! Might be my fav watch to date!

I was worried that the strap would be flimsy but its not.. its a proper chunky mo fo!

Congratulations! I managed to adjust mine to whooping -0.5 sec / day! And it is stable for daily wear and for the way I am leaving it on desk during night. Swiss ETA version and it looks like it is

Now you only need to remove AR with magic sponge

Yup. The bezels on these are a PITA to turn!

FINALLY had some time to remove the outer AR and give the mesh a little bit of a polish.

I think this is MANDATORY for everyone with a Ploprof to take the outer AR off, makes it look 1000x better.

I DIDN'T use a sponge because I kept forgetting to stop at the store and grab one so I just some some very light glaze (for buffing a car) and then used some metal polish on the mesh to give it a little bit of a shine. I have before AR removal photos at home and will edit my post with them when I get home later.

Yup. The bezels on these are a PITA to turn!

Buy an "el-cheapo" 21j model....Bezel turns smoothly and easily without pressing any buttons!!!

Yeah, its pretty slick, all you do is put the spring bar in the slits and push it down.

I have a black V1 coming in for a friend and I am anxious to see what the major differences are in person.

Was slightly concerned about the mesh bracelet being flimsy but davemul seems to think not

I have no idea about the replica mesh strap mate. I said the rubber strap was chunky and well made. (I ordered the V2 on black and also ordered an extra orange strap)

Ive heard the rep mesh is a bit pony / non adjustable

I dont know about the rep mesh, so I went for rubber, and bought an aftermarket mesh.

There are a couple of recommended ones, I went for the one from suppaparts.com. I really like it

I'd heard the same about the mesh strap and the fact that it only fits gigantic wrists and is very flimsy

Can you fit a ploprof clasp to the aftermarket mesh bracelet you purchased ?
