I bet that would love FANTASTIC, and have him DLC the mesh and clasp too!
Too bad I dislike DLC/PVD watches or I might be inclined to buy a black dial and have Avvit go to town.

Hey mate....always a pleasure to meet another Paneristi.... well, RePaneristi... ;)

After looking around a bit online here are pics of a PVD Ploprof (but a cheap version - approx 140$) available at Puretime..

Now this looks badass. I wonder if the Ult V2 will ever be released in PVD.

I was dead set on a PVD Ploprof before I realized there is no gen equivalent...and Omega doesn't really do PVD :(

See I am just not into PVD/DLC watches. I own 1, one of the first Lum-Tec's released. I don't think I'll ever buy/build another one, but I said that about destro watches, and now look I own 2, the PLO and 219.

Today was the first day I didn't wear my PLO since I got it. It really is just as comfortable as this 318 on a super soft leather strap I've worn all day. And it weighs half as much!

my ploprof v2 is broken today, my hour hand is stuck at 8 o'clock. my second hand and minute hand both moves, only the hour hand got stuck.

manualy adjusting it doesn't work, everything moves except the hour hand.... looks like it hit a block. you can see the hour hand trying to get over 8 oclock but jumps back to 8 after it moved slightly. anyway it's a ETA2834-2, since haven't seen anyone posting movement shot, i'll put some up.

I took off my Plopper today...>>>>

Been wearing it exclusively since it arrived on 4/18....But with @ 25-30 other reps on the shelf, I felt it was time to go back to my roots..So I'm wearing my old school 036 Ti Panny for a change of pace today...So far I've had to check my wrist a dozen times to see if my watch fell off !!
What a difference!!!

Ploprof serial# roster..>>>

I have observed that the serial #'s on these appear to correspond to the version of the case series. The V-2's are 82058507, and the V1.5's are 82076507. If you have a different # on yours it would be interesting to know.
here's my V1.5:

I think i have had the same problem. Mine was also stuck at 8 o'clock (pm) because by that time the date begins to move. There was a problem with some gears connected to the datewheel that needed to be replaced. My new Swiss ETA wasn't as new as it should be (3 weeks on my wrist).
Domenico (Germany) fixed it for me (€ 30 material + time + shipping). Now i am a happy Proploffer again! Good luck with yours.

Does it mean that there are indeed old / refurbished ETA movements in so-called Swiss Ploprof V2?? Pity, i am just awaiting mine from Joshua....

It's not just in ploprof... The swiss ETA are in most occasion old movement refurbished in China, or just plain old... or Asian clones... Or, in some lucky cases, recent real swiss ETA.

Who knows what it's going to be for you... For that reason (and because I am cheap ;) ) I prefer the Asian clones...

Correct for my V1/1.5 How do you tell a V1 dial from a V2 dial?

Say hello to my little friend..

Hi all, i have been reading this site for some time now, and just this weekend
received my first rep. from Lay. Its the PLOPROF latest, ultimate.....swiss eta.
Wow.
I just love this piece of ART. It is stunning, SEXY, HOT.... you name it.
The whole transaction with Lay was excellent, fast and smooth..
I would like to do the Relume and aline the date wheel. who would you recommend to do this work??
hopefully pictures will come shortly.
again great forum and cheers to all the collectors.

The PRICE!!....It appears that there is no difference between the dials...
All the newer dials (except, I think, white) have the "happy feet" amputated....
And looking very carefully at OEM dials, except perhaps for the date font, the reps are as good as it'll ever get.. But my (soon to be) septuagenarian eyes ain't as good as they once was ..!!!

Well I'm just going to go ahead and keep saying mine is a V1 then, since the 21J doesn't make any differentiation between V1/V1.5 :D

Something interesting... I found this page with PloProf sale description:

http://www.thewatchsource.co.uk/item...

Scroll to the bottom and there is it:

"(...) Beats at 25,200 vph, contains 39 jewels & is composed of 202 parts."

It seems that all these high-beat movements used in reps will have smoother seconds hand sweep than gen ;)

True, and the same holds for the Planet Ocean, etc. etc.

The thingy is that the 25.2 kbph co-axial movement that you see almost everywhere in the current Omega range has not been replicated (and that's not bound to change anytime soon)... So reps are going to be either too smooth (28.8k) or too choppy (21.6k)...

Given the choice, I prefere "too smooth" ;) (would be great if they did a "V2 lite" with the DG4813 @ 28.8kbph !!!)
