One of the TD’s on here has a 126660 from GMF. What type of flaws do they usually have? I’m not seeing who has C+

The GMF 126660 is sometimes NOT a 126660, it's an 116660 with a 126660 dial. That's the biggest issue.

C+F is available through TDs, if it's available at all. Just reach out to some. Andiot is one TD currently listing it as available.

I seen the C+F on andiot but was confused as its listed as a 44mm x 15mm. My understanding is the 126660 is 18mm. The only one I have seen 18mm is from Intime by it’s a GMF.

If it's a 126660, the dimensions will be correct; the specification details printed on the site will be incorrect.

You'll find incorrect details printed on sites at times. E.g., pictures taken of a particular movement but they label it as another. Half the time they have no idea.

Best bet is to contact the TD and ask for clarification.

Appreciate it sir. Just send them a message. Hopefully it’s 18mm and I’ll get ordered today.

Still waiting for them to reply but wanted to confirm they are GTG right? I will have to send payment through WU as I don’t have their other options. Probably a silly question as they are a TD but just want to be sure.

Assuming "GTG" means good to go / in stock and available? Only the TD can answer that.

Payment options are vary based on TD. Most have this information on their website, otherwise, you need to ask them. They usually provide detailed payment instructions via email once you place your order.

This is a quick update on my GMF DSSD 126660 purchase from Steve. The good news is that it came with a VR3235 movement; see the QC photo! The bad. Unfortunately, it stops running after a minute or two... I let Steve know, and he has been very responsive. He suggested I get a quote for a repair locally - I am in the Washington DC metro area, and I do not have a local watchsmith I trust with a rep - if anyone has a suggestion, please let me know.

Overall, the watch is just beautiful to me. I may have to find a gen example in the future. What a slippery slope this hobby is!

Hi Yomega, thanks for the update. Did you not expect VR3235 movement? Did timegrapher QC show any anomalies?
Hope you get is fixed easily in the US.
Amazing looking piece!
Cheers

Hi @Jay49er, the VR3235 movement was expected. The QC video looked fine. I suspect something must have happened in shipping, or they did not let it run long enough. I have no clue, really. I am hopeful to get it fixed. If not, Steve has indicated I can send it back to them for repair—this is not ideal to me for many reasons due to the risk.

Thanks, it is a beautiful example, and I would like to wear it out this holiday season!

This. Your watch may make it through customs into China, but from there it's likely to disappear and end up on some local postie's wrist. I've had two sent back and once handed over to the local carrier for final delivery, never seen nor heard of again. Don't send a rep back to China. Period.

I went through the same issue with the same watch and TD.

I elected not to send my GMF 126660 back and got a small credit. No disrespect to the TD as he was being responsive and reasonable. What I learned after getting into the watch was:
1. I had to replace the movement. If anyone knows where I can find a gasket with measurements fitting, please let me know.

2. The crystal gasket was crimped and installed incorrectly requiring replacement.

Unfortunately, the crystal gasket is damn near impossible to find for this watch and none of the 126660 gen spec gaskets fit.

Given to do over, I might have risked shipping it back. You all would not believe what I saw when the movement once it was taken apart. 😵‍💫.

Good luck.

Wow! Cannot believe 2 watches from same factory, same dealer were DOA. The condition of the movement looks like water damage and far from brand new. I had only read good reviews from GMF factory and not heard of this much. Hope you can both find local watchsmiths to swap out for new VR3235.

Best of luck with it Yomega and Gitteup!

Yeah it is all good. The TD was top shelf and super fair.

I would still recommend this watch but would ask for a much longer time graph recording in QC. I am not sure what that should be but anything g longer than 1 minute might be helpful.

Now to find the gasket. Haha

Steve (my TD) has been very responsive, and I just sent the watch to be looked at. I hope it is a simple fix.

Hi everyone, thought this would be the right “club” to ask if anyone can help figure out the origins of my very old deepsea rep, which I bought at least 15 years ago, have been wearing and abusing and trown in a drawer at some point. It runs extremely well still. It winds buttery smooth, hand movement is smooth and as it should. It does not operate the date though (although I think it did at some point.) I have no plans with the watch other than have it replaced by a new deepsea (trying to figure out which factory to get with the blue face) so it’s more out of curiosity than anything else. Hope this is the right place to ask as I don’t want to “wreck” threads on new watches.

On to the pictures

On to the pictures

The DEEPSEA thread is the right thread for anything DEEPSEA related. 😉

PJ3 clasp code is, based on this, a NOOB v1 or a BP from around 2014.
Post in thread 'Known Rep Clasp/Bracelet/SEL Codes' https://forum.replica-watch.info/threads/known-rep-clasp-bracelet-sel-codes.333294/post-5385527

BK (TD) was selling these back then, but with a Swiss ETA swapped in. WBK was also selling them. They're the two TDs I bought from between 2012 and 2014. Don't know about others.

As for as which factory to go with for the JC (blue dial), that's been discussed here at length. My advice is to study pics of genuine ones, dial (font and blue-black colour), hands, bezel and insert, case and crown guards, and compare against pics of GMF, BP, C+F, and any others you can find on TD sites, and decide which one you prefer. And don't forget to consider whether you want an ETA based movement or a RLX clone/hybrid movement.
