Cool they added the 13 series. I think if I was going for a non James Cameron model I would struggle between clean with the working helium escape valve and the vsf and their movement(12 series)

Steve (my TD) has been very responsive, and I just sent the watch to be looked at. I hope it is a simple fix.

The movement issue seems likely due to the stem being too long, affecting the keyless works. Based on the initial assessment, the watchmaker is 85% certain it's a stem/keyless works issue. To fix it, they propose cutting the stem and ensuring the keyless works are properly aligned. I gave them the green light to make that repair.

They also mentioned, “The VR movements are notorious for having setting lever issues, which can cause this issue.” If that's the case, I will just get the movement replaced. This is a much better option than sending it back to China - as everyone knows that is super risky!

Hard pass for me. It's not a correct 136660 dial. And it isn't a 136660 case back assembly, either. Bezel and insert, hands, crown guards, crown -- all bad/wrong.

VSF doesn't make a DEEPSEA. Never has. Neither does Clean. V9F and C+F do or have done.

They removed 'Sea Dweller' but didn't reposition the date window. But earlier 136660s did have Sea Dweller on the dial.

Update on the GMF DSSD 126660 (bought from Steve at The One Watches):

The watchmaker found that the keyless works had been previously adjusted but appeared to be okay. They inspected, re-greased, and reassembled the movement. Shortening the stem resolved the main issue. The watch is now keeping time accurately, even with the crown tightened. I have to be mindful not to overtighten the crown.


For others who own this GMF reference with the VR3235 movement, have you experienced this same issue?

I’ve put a deposit in one last week!

In respect of the chap asking about the origins of his deepsea… that’s a noob DSSD. I have the same one but with a Swiss eta from BK. I got mine in 2011. Just had it fully serviced and runs like a dream!

Well apparently Clean is dropping the new all gold DSSD..... no offical confirmation but let's wait.... i feel suspicous about this release due to the 904 stickers which clean has never used

I'm as excited about eventually getting my C+ Deepsea as I have been about any watch I've ordered. Fingers crossed that I'll get it before Christmas, but we shall see. Love seeing this - looks great!

Hey Vaga, I too am very exited. I’ve been on the DSSD research journey the last few months. Like you I’ve chosen the C+ factory for my black dial 126660. This will be my first rep and is a practise run before I get a gen DSSD. Let’s hope we get spoilt before Xmas. Cheers

My QC arrived for the GMF from Steve. Had the usual 14 sec timegrapher video (+6, 273, 0.1)

I’ll ask for a longer vid but suspect even 1 minute won’t reveal any issues. I doubt I’ll get a 5 min video…

I asked for a c+ when I ordered this and was told they weren’t available fyi
