Why is the proficiency of @FastPaced's English relevant to your argument? Is this some kind of ad hominem attack?

And to be frank, your use of punctuation isn't perfect either - you can't seem to appropriately use a comma, dash or semi-colon in your sentences. Therefore, it would be wise to refrain yourself from commenting on other's level of English.

So says the person who starts a sentence with the word “and”.

Wrong.
http://www.quickanddirtytips.com/education/grammar/can-i-start-a-sentence-with-a-conjunction

It’s Fine to Start a Sentence with a Coordinating Conjunction
And, but, and or are the three most common members of a group of words known as coordinating conjunctions. The question about whether it’s grammatical to begin a sentence with and, but, or or is actually the question of whether it’s grammatical to begin a sentence with a coordinating conjunction. Here’s what some of the big usage guides say on the matter. The one that seems to get quoted the most is the Chicago Manual of Style, which says:

There is a widespread belief—one with no historical or grammatical foundation—that it is an error to begin a sentence with a conjunction such as and, but or so. In fact, a substantial percentage (often as many as 10 percent) of the sentences in first-rate writing begin with conjunctions. It has been so for centuries, and even the most conservative grammarians have followed this practice.

I read some people’s comments and think to myself: “at which point does one realise that being an expert in fake branded watches is about as much of an achievement as using the toilet unassisted at the age of 20.”

I love the rep world but some people take it so seriously and develop a level of bravado through their “expertise”. Come back down to earth and stop being a c**t.

So where does this outburst come from? If you´re talking about particulars, then address those.
BTW to be able to tell a gen from a rep is not comparable to to something insignificant, as many of the world´s top horologists can be fooled by several of the watches on this list. Before checking the movement that is. The expertise of some of our top members are that they know so much about the real deal, that they can spot the issues of the reps.

I clarified this point in the post right after the one you quoted. I quite enjoy a lot of the people on here and some guys are patient enough to teach others. My annoyance comes at some members who are arrogant and rude, especially to newcomers. I know that some “noobs” do themselves no favours but it costs nothing to be somewhat welcoming.

Remember, if this community grows, the quality of reps will continue to improve and we would find more and more new “super reps” coming out due to an increase in demand. There is no benefit in making newcomers feel unwelcome.

Oh, so you´re not willing to call out these you seem to have a problem with? A good attitude goes a long way when it comes to getting help. With your take on things, you may find that difficult in the continuance. Please leave this thread and start your own rant thread. Not OK to hijack one of the most popular threads in the forum to serve your needs to be offended.

*edit: Sorry Dave, wrote while you posted. I´m out.
