Hi Everyone, I made a quick chart of all the watches, the genuine price, replica price, premium, and functions.

Feel free to copy, use this graph, create a google docs spreadsheet, or do whatever you want. Hope this helps the community!

Without reading all 56 odd pages I find it strange that the 116610 is listed being that there are constant posts about all of the tells even on the V7 and guys are spending thousands to get them right but as noted above the 16610 is not on the list and the TC although not perfect to the trained eyes of our local experts is likely the best Rollie rep and the least likely to be outed.

The one thing which had stopped me buying a sub rep for so long was , for me the biggest tell of all and that is the backwards keyless function. When the AS 3135 became the viable movement it now is (IMO) I bought a Noob.
There are very few people in the world who can call out a Noob , even in their hands. ( Most of them are on this Forum) Most Rolex owners know how the keyless functions on a 3135
I thing TCs watches look great and as soon as he makes one with an AS3135 I will buy one , till then , not for me.
It's not that I want to pass them off as Gen, but everytime I change the time it just feels wrong.

Is the AS3135 still pretty much garbage and will break on you very quickly? Or has it been upgraded?

I think it is far from garbage. I have spoken to a number of Chinese dealers about this movement ( Non TDs based in Shenzhen and Guangzhou ) The information I get is as follows. The original movement was produced with a thin and weak stem and under lubricated mainspring barrel , and also with reverser gears which were too thin and liable to give problems. I believe that all of these problems have been addressed and that being a simple movement with no complications , there is no reason it shouldn't be as reliable as any other chinese movement. There is of course a parts problem. I have three watches with this movement and although I have not had them very long, I have no issues and the keyless feels strong and solid. All three are running to COSC in a combination of positions checked on a Time graph for several hours. I have overcome the potential parts problem by buying spare movements .
For me the correct Keyless function and crown position is important. If it isn't important to you then you would of course be better off with the well proven and infinitely serviceable 28XX variants .

Why? Its in my motherlanguage.

Because no one is interested to read those annoying Tapathingy signatures, no matter in which language. They just are a PITA and absolutely good for nothing, especially when the sig is even longer than your text itself.

Then don't read it, you are the first who have problems with it.

Thanks @timmic54 this thread has been really helpful in getting a more rigorous criteria for replica watches. I like your comment about the 3135 movement, indeed I may like to try out the new sub c. Currently I don't have a ceramic watch in my collection. What are your overall favorite watches?

I am guessing "extra functions" is functions that the watch has whether rep/gen? Or is it what the Gen has over the rep?

Might be nice to see what kind of movements the Reps come with as well. Thats always the biggest thing for me is the movement in a rep. If the rep has a low beat movement compared to the gen, I dont even look at it.

Yes, extra functions are what functions shared by the rep vs gen. Additionally I agree, I will list the movements on the table and compare.

Obviously it is the best when the movements match. The ideal is like the tudors or seven friday when we use the eta 2824 or miyota 82S7. Then at the very least without decorations it is the same internally.

On the AP Diver the gen actually has a low beat (21,600 hz) movement but the JF replica has a high beat movement. I currently have the replica but have not modded it since I usually prefer a high beat seconds hand. Have you made any modifications to yours and do you think it is worth doing?

I usually swap in an ETA 2824/2892 into a low beat watch, whether is a replica or a cheap "Homage". Like you, I prefer high beat movements. The only ones Im ok with low beat movements are ones with small second hands at 6/9 cause its harder to tell the beat count.
