Not worth buying in gen

The bright side for me is that I can wear all my favorite watches (Reps of course) for the cost of 1 Gen. Who cares about tomorrow...

LOL this is exactly why I did that. The HBB from V6 are so well made, you really can't tell the difference.
Considering the rate of depreciation on a base PAM, the fact that they use a $200 ETA 6497, and how good the base PAMs are, I definitely think there are a lot of us who wouldn't buy even a used base PAM. Yes, the Gens are better, but not thousands of dollars better. not by a long shot.
This is EXACTLY why I own a noob Pam.
I own a BK Sub, and I also own a gen sub. See, on the Sub I can still almost tell a difference PLUS the gen sub has a movement worth $3,000 inside of it so I can kinda justify the expenditure.
A manual wind SS Panerai for, what, $5,000? That's stupidity. It's a big, stupid, simple watch for way the heck too much money.
My 2 gens are repped pretty poorly imo. Blnr and ceramic bluesy. I would never buy a plain sub as a gen as the reps are so damn close.

Yep +1000. My 2 rollie gens are a Bluesy and a DJ41 on Jubilee TT. I was contemplating buying a gen HULK but the v7 is real real good. I would never buy a LN gen though. Reps are too good.
